ohhh_yeah 2942
   285 home games 98 wins  336 home goals scored 368 conceded  285 away games 54 wins  273 away goals scored 525 away goals conceded   "6 in a rerrrrrrrrrr FTM!"  Ellis Short:  "Like any supporter, my initial reaction is one of sadness, disappointment, anger and frustration. After 10 consecutive seasons as a top-flight club, the second longest in our 138-year history, it is hard for everyone to take."  "It is an especially cruel blow for our supporters, who have shown tremendous faith in the club. They backed the team, home and away, in huge numbers throughout the season and it is fair to say this season they have once again been relentless in their support. I am truly sorry that we have not been able to retain our top-flight status for them."  "I acknowledge that during my ownership mistakes have been made, particularly in the area of player recruitment, and as a result we have found ourselves struggling to survive in recent seasons. We had massive disruption during the summer transfer window and an unprecedented number of injuries throughout the season. These are difficulties which we have been unable to overcome and we are paying the price for that now."  "We need to improve, both on and off the field, and despite the bitter disappointment of today there is a strong determination to do so throughout the club. There is significant work to be done over the summer and when the season is concluded, we intend to share our plans to move forward with our supporters." StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Even when a big event like them getting relegated happens they aren't even on MOTD first. Beaten by a 0-0.

If they show mackems getting relegated first it spoils the Hull result by telling us they didn't get beat so they had to show this one first

StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Both times we've had a far superior team to them and they look in complete disarray on and off the field with a manager none of them want and what decent players they have will bugger off leaving them with a team full of players no better than Jack Colback. Tom 14011
We spent heavily & got the right players in - oh and our manager is Rafa Benitez, not David Moyes. Â They've got no players worth selling - apart from Pickford who is decent but they won't get half of what the fans are expecting. Also they've got no money and a shitload of debt. Â Â Hope they suffer tbh.

Some, however, are asking burning questions like 'how do I cancel a season ticket card?' A few of them are realistic as well tbf.

Anorthernsoul 1221
Even spending heavily doesn't guarantee success, just look at Villa. We were very lucky Rafa stayed and put a squad together to get us back up, he found the perfect blend that was needed for the job. Nothing about them tells me they will do it, the club is in disarray   Had to laugh at this BTW:  https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/bournemouth-fans.1357374/   Daft unwashed cunts.
StoneColdStephenIreland 74
All Moyes has done is get past it players from his old clubs and were nowhere near good enough for the Premiership in their prime never mind now. I dont think he's going to miraculously change his dealings whilst in the Championship with a smaller budget and now a smaller stature of club since they've dropped a league. They're probably squad wise in a worse state than Villa last year and they spent a ton of money just to to finish mid-table in the Championship. Anorthernsoul 1221
Even one look at Norwich tells you that it's a tough league to get out of, they were favourites to win the league earlier in the season but they struggled big time, the fixtures come thick and fast and if you have a drop in form you can quickly lose 4 or 5 games on the bounce.

StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Not only that you'll have the 3 teams that miss out in the play offs, 2 other relegates teams, the likes of Derby, Norwich, Villa, Leeds and a few others who will be looking to sneak into the play offs next year. They won't be able to compete.
Ayatollah Hermione 13788
They need a big, unifying character to come in as manager and do something similar to what Rafa did here, I reckon. They're in total disarray from top to bottom and any connection with the fans is probably long gone. Moyes has shown that he can't do it and I've got absolutely no idea who they could find that would have that effect. Considering we were fortunate to get Rafa (and even more fortunate to get him to stay), we're also a much more attractive proposition to tempt someone like that. I wouldn't touch Sunderland with a barge pole atm, they're a shambles.
