Just saw that Jose Enrique is the only premier league goalkeeper to not concede a goal this season.

Lee Ryder was saying that he didn't shake any of our players hands after the game... Hope that isn't true.

Don't know what you were watching LuckyMagoo but even my Liverpool supporting mate admitted it was a headbutt on review. It was the replay that confirmed it without doubt. So utterly moronic from Reina, must really be regretting it.

Just like the Balotelli 'stamp' against Spurs, I don't care what the rest of football thinks, I know I'm right.

KSA - squaring up to someone is aggressive but it isn't violent. Can you actually be sent off for merely being aggressive? You get players shouting at each other and being held back by their team mates in matches pretty often, should they be sent off instead of the usual (and more sensible) talking to with the occasional booking?

The fact that it was a pathetic headbutt doesn't make it any less of a headbutt.

I wouldn't call that a meltdown. I'd say it's a fair reflection of what has happened at their club over the last 18 months. I think he's overstating the responsibility of the fans though, the owners and Dalglish have to take a fair bit of the blame.

Aye, I'd go along with that.

I agree with much of what's written. Where I'd disagree is where he says it's not the owners fault, it's the fans fault. No it's not, it's the owners fault entirely. It doesnt matter what the fans want, clamour for or anything else, it's up to the ownership to be strong and to take the best decisions for the club. That means seeing through all the subjective, emotional outbursts-whether that manifests itself in the fans booing players off after a bad result/finishing 5th/whatever or calling for the return of a 'messiah'-and steering a course for progress based on cold objective, rational thought.

A groundswell of Man U fans wanted shot of Ferguson on two separate occasions prior them winning the Prem the first time. Those fans benefitted from having a strong board telling them to go and fuck themselves-if they'd got their way they'd have had none of what followed and whats still coming to them this season, 20 years on.

In our case, we had a board which told us it was 'giving in to fan pressure' to apoint Roeder. Amongst other examples.

Football fans talk bullshit because their responses are understandably emotion led most of the time. This is what gets me about Leazes criticising people for using 'hindsight' as if it's some sort of dirty word. If you don't use hindsight then you learn absolutely fuck all and never progress in any way. This is clearly absurd and to be avoided at all costs.

Your owners on the other hand-you need them to have foresight. That is the difference and that is what makes any reference to fans opinions/blame utterly irrelevant in the context of the Dalglish or any other managerial appointment discussion.

Enrique can fuck off. He burnt his bridges by refusing to sign a contract so he could go to a 'bigger' () club and then firing parting shots via twitter.

I hope his career goes straight down the shitter TBH.

Give it to Sammy Lee.

I remember when he was briefly in charge of Bolton and he was asked what he thought of the job Avram Grant was doing at Chelsea on the radio. There was a pause for a good five seconds and then, "er, well 'e's a manager."

In all seriousness, Dalglish is going to get as much time as anyone to turn things around there so I reckon they maise well give him another season. They should never have let him have any control over transfers tbh and I'd suggest their recruitment policy is what really needs to change. We're a shining example to them of how to recruit skilfully from the continent and there's no way Dalglish is going to have the knowledge to be in charge of that. The problem is, if they're really going to improve they'll need to clear out some of the deadwood that he's brought in to make room for some quality players.

Don't they have that Damien Comolli chap for transfers as well? As much as I'd hate to take the blame away from "the king", he needs to take some of the flak from the dippers. But yeah, hopefully they will continue to buy utter dross and fall away for a while.

Scouser on the Guardian comments forum is insistent that Commoli forced Carroll onto Dalglish, who didn't want him at all. They'll say anything to spare THE KING'S blushes.

The very fucking notion that Dalglish would have a player-any player thrust on him under suffrance. The same arrogant bellend who walks off in front of TV interviewers every week and who defied the FA (who basically made every effort to find a middle way to allow Suarez and Liverpool to come through the Evra episode as unaffected as possible) for weeks on end as he made his club look like the biggest bunch of cunts on the planet. Which they are. The same bloke who's ringpiece they had to stretch around a cooling tower to blow the amount of smoke up his arse that they did.

Fuck off.

I just cannot see how anyone who knew what they were doing would pay what they did for the likes of Downing, Henderson, Adam. I don't blame them as much for Carroll though they should surely have waited til the summer to identify a better replacement for Torres, but it seems unforgivable to spend about £40m on two at best 'decent' players in Downing and Henderson with the time they had to find players.

Check this Liverpool fan's defence of the King out:

I have it on good authority (a catering assistant who works in the Bootroom Cafe) that in a preliminery meeting which took place in Mid January 2011Kenny had expressed grave reservations about signing AC and left Comolli in no doubt he may not be what we were looking for. Commoli, surprised at the challenge to his authority, went over Kenny's head and practically press-ganged JH & TW to sign the cheque for 35 big ones. If blame is to be apportioned, then quite clearly it should not belong exclusively to the KING.

 "I have it on good authority".....from the tea lady

If you look at what Dalglish did to Keegan's team, you'd be in no doubt who's responsible for the waste of money at LFC

Isn't this just like when we all blamed Dennis Wise rather than Keegan?

*ducks*
