Ridiculous. because they're allowed to, this happened with the barton/gervinho incident, there was next to no focus on the fact that the player sent off lashed out violently and SHOULD have gone but loads of moaning about barton going down too easy and its the same this time round fact is, Reina was sent off as he should've been, I have no faith that the ref would've sent him off if perch hadn't gone down like he did but that would have meant a wrong decision so the end result is a correct decision that negatively effects Liverpool so everyones whining about that part rather than that reina was acting like a bellend in the first place. the referee got it right, yellow for perch for tripping reina, red for reina for sticking his head in perchs face. Ridiculous. Was the same yesterday too. Genuinely seems to be the biggest crime of the lot going by the likes of 606 etc. Of course he overreacted. But the way I saw it - and I'd rather he hadn't, don't get me wrong - is that players react like that to make sure the ref is aware of the incident. They all do it, if it's a red card offence and you can highlight it, or make sure it gets just punishment, do it because the other fucker will given half a chance. About time we had a cynical edge (like all the rest do). It's the modern game, don't particularly like it, but when in Rome....................... Amazes me just how skewed in Liverpool's favour this whole 'controversy' is. One was exaggerating an incident. The other was faking an incident. The difference is obviously that one led to a player getting sent off, but he should have been sent off regardless of what Perch did. If one of our players was stupid enough to stick his head into an opponents face and said opponent went down like he'd been shot, the last person I would villify would be the opponent.
