Like a Chinese finger trap, the louder the cries that Willo is so obviously feckless the greater weight it places to the argument that Krul should have been more authoritative. Push your fingers in lads.

Noone is disputing that Krul did poorly, but even with his lack of communication Williamson should have just put the ball out. He's done the same thing before in positions where Krul was never going to be able to get the ball. It comes down to the fact that he panicks when put under the slightest bit of pressure. Whilst Steven Taylor is out, and until we have another chance to strengthen in the market he will be one of our best two central defenders. For someone his age he really hasn't played a lot of football, and that's part of why he lacks the technique. If he was 6' he'd still be in league one.

Hey, let's not promote a blame culture on here people, let's form a circle of trust to send a positive vibe to Tim, Mike and the lads to boost their confidence, yeah?

Williamson, by far

He's a gimp, he's not good enough for NUFC and he knows it. He's good in the air, absolutely shite at everything else.

You're spot on like, he knows he's not good enough to be fair to him-his post match interview he basically almost said as much. When asked if he could believe the season we were having he basically answered something along the lines that he could barely believe he was playing in the Premier League and that spoke volumes for me. We've got some decent players milling about the place now and it must be massively apparent to him he's playing above his level.

When him or Perch have had decent games, you're walking out the ground or in the pub saying "fuck me Williamson had a good game", not that you say it very often. With players who are good enough to be here like Coloccini or Tiote, you never say it, because they're at a high level all of the time and it's no surprise.

Watched it agin last night, the ball is traveling into the box and if Krul steps up earlier he collects it no problem. He doesn't, he hesitates on his heels, the ball bounces and then both Williamson and Krul go to get the ball resulting in the collision. It's Krul's hesitation that costs us.

If you're going to do something then do something. Krul came out but chose not to go for it. Williamson chose to head it away from both him and the keeper. When you're as limited as Williamson then your best bet is to take no chances and stick it in row Z.

Thankfully we were 3-0 up and there won't be a better time to learn that lesson.

By heading the ball in that direction you've guaranteed a goal, he's got no awareness of where the keeper is or which direction he's running in. Sunday League defending. The whole incident occured because he wasn't quick enough and he wasn't strong enough to fend off a 10st opponent. Simply not good enough. Does the goal occur with Colo? No. Saylor? No. Fact. In fact I think Perch would've dealt with it. If you're going to be weak as a centre half, he's weak and a tortoise.

Bingo.

If the centre half was Taylor or Coloccini that ball would still be climbing into the ionosphere

Both players clearly could have done better, it's interesting to hear how people see the balance of culpability.

On another note, if you're going for the 'witty and sophisticated play on french / english' in your username, do us the deceny of getting the spelling right. I fucking boss that shite and your letting the side down.

Speaking of letting the side down YOU still haven't come up with a decent rejoinder to my riposte.

Its a made up name u prick! Which means ill spell it how i see fit. And i fail to see how you "boss that shite" with a 'clever' french / english play on the name of an Aston Villa player who has no association whatsoever with France. Sort it out!!!
