From what I saw on Saturday, Anita is not a replacement for tiote, in terms of role and ability. We can't afford to lose him.

I don't think he has ever meant to be, I think he was more likely to be an improved Guthrie. I do admit he he did look shaky at the weekend but he is new and will need sometime to settle in. I don't think Tiote will go for the kind of money being spouted about ie £15 million. IF he did go I can't see any less than £25 million. Hopefully he wont go though.

Our summer window on the back of a top-5 season is just shocking.

Opportunity missed, Liverpool have strengthened considerably - so have sunderland and a host of other clubs.

REALLY thought we would strengthen our defence.. still a CB and a RB short - ideally I would want another LB too.

Santon really isnt that good.

Raved

Santon looks a decent prospect because he is more promising going forward than Simpson. Defensibly and in general he is nothing more than "ok" so far.

He is not a finished prospect though, which is what gives him a bit of slack.

It's mind blowing that anyone could be judged after a couple of games. Especially when he's played two games in different countries in 48 hours, the first in crippling heat. The guy's won the Eredivisie and played for Ajax. I doubt he's average.

I've heard we've got that Wanyama from Celtic lined up for if Tiote goes.

Mind you with Wenger saying they're not after Tiote and both Ferguson and Di Matteo both saying theyre done, Cabaye might be looking the more likely to go.

15 milion sounds about right. Slightly overrated in my opinion.

If we could get M`vila for that amount I wouldnt think twice.

Tabbing out of FM for a moment and returning to real life, I would never want us to lose anyone - simply because I dont trust Mike and Dekka to replace them.

Would you accept Cabaye going for £20M if it meant Debuchy, Douglas and AC came in?

While on the surface you think its a good deal, I think it would leave us weak in midfield.

I wouldn't as we don't have any other midfielders of his ilk.

No, simply because I dont accept the premise that cabaye would have to go to finance those players.

Which is what infuriates me.

AC is a bit of a meh for me, especially with the prices quoted. Douglas is completely unproven and could be either a flop or success, and debauchy should have been tied up a month ago by simply agreeing a price whether that was 6 million pounds or 7.

Yep, even though he is being utilised - in my opinion - too much as a terrier and enough not in an advanced position spraying passes and 25 yard belters

Tough one. I'm not sure whether I would rather lose Tiote or Cabaye. Sell Cabaye and lose Tiote for the ACN and we are down to Anita and Gosling in CM. One of those get's injured and it's Abeid/Bigi/Amalfitano in there
