nortoon 0
Aye everyone keeps panicking about Douglas, but the crux of the matter has been he wants to be eligible for the dutchies and thats some date near the window afaik.

Could well be agreed already and definitely looks to be better than Williamson. Questions over his attitude though. But for 3mil, european experience, knows Tiote. Would definitely be a good signing. Christmas Tree 4669
Seems quite a few locals seem convinced AC is coming back after his weekend trip home. Supposedly telling all and sundry in the shark club that he had been in for further talks with Ashley. Of course all pure gossip on twitter and even if the tweeters are telling the truth, is a pissed AC a reliable source. Also bearing in mind the happy camp, do we want a piss head back? JoCo85 0
I'd have him back, think he is unplayable when he is on his game. I'd only be worried about the dressing room harmony, but hopefully it won't be too much of an issue.
Lake Bells tits 1
My only issue with Andy coming home is that he wouldnt make the first 11. Both Cisse and Ba is better than him, so Id rather we spend our money elsewhere. Seems a bit excessive to spunk 20 million on a ACON backup.. BigWalrus 0
I'd still have him back. He'd give our team and our game a completely different dimension. Cisse and Ba are much better players, technically, but Carroll is a big strong bastard that will cause any defender a problem. The price would have to be right though. No more in wages than was on the table when he left (in fact I'd offer £1 a week less, just to keep his tail firmly between his legs).
Tooj 17
I'd be disappointed if we spent big money on Carroll yet we failed to sign Debuchy.

Dunno if that would be the best way of getting the best out of him though, whipping him around like a grovelling peasant.

Monroe Transfer 0
Totally agree with Jonny tbh. I'd honestly rather spend a potential Carroll fee on another CB and FB, and then perhaps a cheapish young striker who can play out wide, has a lot of potential and will understand not being an automatic starter ahead of CIsse and Ba. That Jordan Rhodes perhaps?

Douglas after meeting with NEC to Fulham and Newcastle20/08/2012 21:19 Chances are that Douglas next Sunday against NEC his last game for FC Twente plays. Fulham and Newcastle United have reported to the manager of the Brazilian defender. "The clubs have announced to want to do business," said FC Twente chairman Joop Munsterman. "We have not heard anything concrete, but if a proper compensation is, in our view, should Douglas leave because he was otherwise free transfer next year the door." Both clubs from the Premier League have been a salary Douglas indication that he can find. It is for Douglas is important to the game against NEC anyway to play. To finally be eligible for Orange Douglas must first five years in the Netherlands have been active. In the course of next week, Fulham or Newcastle United finally do business. Monroe Transfer 0
Be gutted if he ends up at fucking Fulham. Get him and Debuchy in and promote Campbell to first team (yeah yeah, I know), and I'll be very happy.

Ayatollah Hermione 13760
You'd like to think we'd be the more preferable destination but if he's going to play every week at Fulham, it might swing him.

One nosey into steven taylors CV and he would quickly realise he will be getting plenty of games for us too.. And isnt colo injured atm also? Anything to keep Mike the walking penalty Williamson off the pitch..
BigAl 0
Would Dawson be worth a punt? Looks like his days at Spurs are numbered and he is a decent proven premiership centre half.

alexkeble 0
First 11 looked fine on Saturday - perhaps a central defender would sure things up when it gets sticky. Spurs' new tiki-taka philosophy had a stunted start because of Newcastle's dominant midfield, in my opinion. Their passing was so confident that, with the heat, tired Spurs quickly and made their hard pressing game impossible to sustain. As they began to sit-off, Newcastle struck. Great stuff for them, but Spurs need to work out how and when they need to press. You can read a full tactical analysis of the game if you like, here: Edited August 21, 2012 by Andrew Link Removed, put it in your sig and actually contribute, if this post is seen again its deleted

Be interesting if this one is being done under the radar. Anita was very coy about his move until it happened.
