Tom 14013
wish he'd just leave and get it over with sick of him being our player...or...something 16 goal premier league strikers are ''easy to replace''

Baggio 0
Daft not buying a centre back, an injury puts too much pressure on Good to hit the ground running presuming he passes his medical. Saying that the local papers have said a few weeks back that we were not going to sign one and then they were talking up the Douglas transfer again shortly after, now they seem to be going with us not signing one again. Sky sports were linking us with Ashley Williams from Swansea yesterday.
Monroe Transfer 0
Well don't forget that Pardew has been talking up Tav as a CB in interviews recently.
JawD 99
Some correspondent bloke was on talksport before talking about someone Villa should wrap up next week. Then he started talking about us. Reckons we have told Pieters agent that we will buy him as soon as he is fit. We pulled out last winter after his injury and he had another injury recently. We are also meant to be looking at al alternative that is highly rated who we will go for if we can't get Pieters soon. He spoke about Douglas as well saying the problem is he has 3 agents due to to the way young Brazilians are handled and each wants a slice of any fee. Was no mention of Debuchy etc as this bloke only covered Holland.

Monroe Transfer 0
Except Marveaux was on a free, thus it wasn't much of a risk buying him.
ewerk 31200
Except Marveaux was on a free, thus it wasn't much of a risk buying him. We paid him an entire season's wage and he made one league start. Free transfers aren't risk free. Edited July 28, 2012 by ewerk
Monroe Transfer 0
Hence me saying "wasn't much of a risk", if you want to get pedantic.
sniffer 0
OK. Acquiring crocks and as ewerk says, paying him for fuck all. Somehow, I don't think that fits in with MA's thinking.

What we should do is sign players that never get injured IMO.

Baggio 0
That's a great idea. You are so smart. Thanks. Now all we have to do is work out how that's possible (delorean?) and we will have it sorted.

Kid Dynamite 7169
Don't know how true it is but I heard that the club fancy Anita as a LB rather than a DMF as they feel Santon would be better suited as a winger
Christmas Tree 4826
So a month of the window has gone, most clubs have re-grouped for pre season, we have some excellent players, it's common knowledge anyone can go for the right price. Given the above, what do we make of the fact that seemingly no offers have come in? I would have thought if one of the rich clubs wanted Tiote, Cabaye, Cisse or Krul, then they would have acted by now.
Happy Face 29
I think clubs, players, managers, directors and agents are on tours all over the world and there'll be more transfer activity across the league in august than thre was in July.
Monroe Transfer 0
Yup. .The vast majority of transfer deals take place towards the end of the window, not during it. Culminating in the traditional ridiculous deadline day when clubs get desperate. I know you said "seemingly" CT but I wouldn't be surprised if clubs have shown interest in our big name players, just not followed through with bids as of yet. JawD 99
You can get a domino effect as well. As soon as a few players start moving, esp bigger names, it can start a knock on effect. Assuming this Ba 31st July thing is accurate, we'll do well if no forwards need replacing in next couple of days.
Baggio 0
I was reading about Anita on N-O about a week ago and some Dutch guy on there said he's better than Nigel De Jong was at his age, he's more of a ball playing holding man which is something that let's Tiote down at times. Christmas Tree 4826
All fair points but didn't the likes of Man u and Arsenal get their business done early doors last season? Surely the longer it goes, the more chance any club is going to get screwed on price as with AC. MS Douglas (chronny) tweeting that there will be interesting news for NUFC fans tomorrow and that Pardew expects at least one in next week and none to leave. I'd be fucking over the moon if no one left.
Andrew 4857
Man u and arsenal have both made big signings already. It's a euros summer with the Olympics football following it up
Monroe Transfer 0
I don't think CT follows football outside of NUFC to be fair.
