BestBaNone 0
Won't happen but we should be looking to nick Adebayor if we make Europe. We'd have to pay pretty high wages but the vastly reduced transfer fee would probably offset this and make him excellent value.
rogerbarton 24
Do we really need lazy Adebayor who's stalling over a move to Spuds because they can't match his £150k a week at Citeh? He's inconsistent at the best of times anyway and hardly inspires loyalty. When we have Ba, Cisse and Ben Arfa already i wouldn't touch Ade with a barge pole. BestBaNone 0
Problem is if we're fielding three forwards and playing more games we need more cover, and behind those three starters there's no real quality pushing for a place. We won't hit the next level relying on the Ameobi brothers and Best to start a lot of games should anything bad happen to any of those starting three. Ayatollah Hermione 13873
Would rather see a young hungry striker come in than Adebayor. He's just a mercenary, basically.
Baggio 0
I can see us signing someone like Yoan Gouffran to play the opposite side to Ben Arfa. Ba I think is likely to leave if his contract buy out is true and then we will sign a young back up to Cisse, like Guidetti from City who is on loan at Feyenoord. Like a new signing, if you'll excuse the cliche.
Nyff 0
Would love to see Hoilett here. Him on the left and Ben Arfa on the right would be awesome. Watching him on MOTD yesterday and he goes round players so easily but then sticks it in the box right in the places that Cisse would thrive on. Definitely someone we could pick up for a decent price if (when) Blackburn go down...
Kid Dynamite 7030
Douglas and Pieters would be class signings. Would rather keep Tiote too though, Gosling and Guthrie don't have anywhere near the same impact. Unless Abeid has suddenly become awesome how much have u seen of pieters nurse-boy? Aye fair bit on ESPN you not really in the closet Homo.

I don't think City are the sort or club that would make an unhappy youngster stay either as they have an easy come easy go approach.
toonotl 2980
I have to say not being able to read Leazes' posts almost makes his insanity just that little bit more entertaining.
Baggio 0
All of United’s main targets have international pedigree. The Magpies are eyeing Holland defender Erik Pieters, France right-back Mathieu Debachy and FC Twente’s Douglas – although they are understood to have other centre-back targets than just the towering Brazilian. I know Cabaye said Debachy wants to come here but I'm not sure if we're genuinely interested.

Andrew 4762
He wants to leave city cause he's not playing City who play in the champions league and compete for the PL Why would he be happy not playing here? Baggio 0
He wants to leave city cause he's not playing City who play in the champions league and compete for the PL Why would he be happy not playing here? He's not going to oust cisse or ba Originally said I said I think Ba will leave if the contract clause is correct, so he will be back up to Cisse. To quote the player -“The question is very simple. I want to play and if in Manchester they see me as the fourth or fifth choice, then I would rather go to a club where I can play.” He would play plenty here if we get European football, a better question would be if we can't get a 19 year old who's 5th choice at best at City to come here and be second choice then what standard of player can we attract to do it? Brock Manson 0
Sounds like another Bendtner tbh. Just because he's got a great scoring record in Holland doesn't mean he's ready to be a regular starter for a premier league team.
rogerbarton 24
I see The Chronicle are saying Guthrie's waiting for a summer move to Villa... Makes no sense to me if true.
Brock Manson 0
Guaranteed starter for them but would be a huge backwards step ambition wise. I'd rather he stayed as he's always come in and done well when called upon.
ADP 0
Always had a soft spot for Guthrie, can put in a shift when he wants to. He'd be a fool to go to Villa.
rogerbarton 24
Thing is, for me, he's always gonna get at least 15/20 games a season, cos Tiote's injury prone. Throw in suspensions/injuries elsewhere, plus the ACN next season and I don't see his problem. Not sure he's actually fit enough to be a regular first team starter anyway - always gets injured whenever he's given a run in the team for a prolonged period. Baggio 0
I think his mind was made up when he was dropped when Tiote and Cabaye returned, despite being our best player at the time.
Baggio 0
We have opened talks to sign Douglas from Twente but will have to wait until the end of August to sign him, he needs to get his 5 years in in Holland to play for the Dutch national team. http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=162865
