What is crystal clear to me is that Manc Mag is a complete clown; an absolute loser, a coward & a liar

Whereas what is crystal clear to everyone down wind of you is your soiled underpants.

Anyone seen Erik Pieters' Twitter? He's been cheering us on the last couple of games, under the guise of it being his mate Tim's club. From what I've seen of him he'd be a good acquisition who could go straight into the left back slot. I still think Santon is going to need time to settle and perhaps become our right back.

Another point regarding any summer transfer activity, what are the rules about quotas of home grown players? Cos if we want to keep improving it's the likes of Simpson/Williamson that we'd want to improve on. Steven Taylor's the only English player I could see a first XI regular, with the likes of Raylor, Guthrie, Shola, Best, Sammeobi, Gosling more as back up.

A player who can provide CB and LB cover would be a great addition, and would gel more easily if he's already good mates with Krul.

Bet his twitter use is pissing his club off though so hope it won't affect any potential deal...

The one thing that worries me is that dutch fans in general dont seem to rate him. Some say he is not even first choice at PSV, others say he is only in the holland team because of the scarce competition in that particular spot.

I havent seen him play but those kind of views in general worry me. I dont expect the second coming of Cafu, but a bit of hype and general agreement that this guy is mint would leave me more confident.

In any case a big upgrade if it means santon can replace simpson and him sementing the LB spot, but when we go out to find a proper proper LB we should get it spot on.

In Carr we trust i guess. If he rates him, he must have seen something. I doubt he is blinded by national apps alone like.

A rough translation:

In the game against Ajax, he got himself into big trouble. Not only by the reversing into our own goal when lukaki casually came on his flank, but also because he was very reluctant to go forward.Additonally he had a horrible panic pass back to bouton who had to clear it to tyson.. He just seems to panic-struck and afraid to play himself out of trouble, and as a direct result, trouble ensues.

hr495.pngGood point, I also noticed how insecure he was the last time. The big question for me whether it is structural that he is not safe to be around when pressure is put on him, he is only somewhat dependable when he is allowed to relax and given ample time.

Hmm, this seems eerie familiar.

Yep, I spoke to a mate supporting twente at the time where he went to us, he said he wasnt that pivotal to them - squad player basically.

time will tell.

The whole thing could well be a curveball. I've got the utmost faith in the scouting team to bring in top quality players and it's only really the centre back and full back positions where I think we need strengthening (if only for strength in depth at CB).

I am simply reciting what he told me. I asked hm if it was a heavy blow for them to lose him, he said no. elaborating on that he told me Tiote was very good, but not really the backbone of the team, he felt players like Douglas, Bryan Ruiz, some brazilian striker Icant remember the name of etc were more important.

I remember I looked at the record and found that tiote did play alot of games but not all of them and he was a sub for quite a few as well.

Maybe my mate was/is clueless, maybe he aint. Just a fans point of view I guess.

According to the summary of Pardew's talk in on the true faith website, we've already got a deal in place for a centre back this summer.

Yanga-Mbiwa is my guess.
