Happy Face 29
Thoughts on your view of the game and on the article itself.... I thought Ba's pelanty was more poor than Mignolet's save was quality. I don't think we were particularly lucky to still be in the game after the first half, we were poor, but apart from the pen I think Krul made one save from long range and that was it. Later on he made a magnificent double save too, but then we'd had the good chances you do include. If you do believe Sunderland had the better opportunities to have a wider lead, I would have included details of those chances, rather than ours, as the facts described don't reflect the opinion. This is a similar to (though not as extreme as) the ALS report who give Mignolet man of the match while also saying they were robbed. The way it's worded suggests to me as a reader that the melee involving Simpson was related to the Cattermole foul too, which I don't think was intended, think that paragraph could do with being reconstructed. ajax_andy 0
Hi, cheers for the feedback I meant more you were lucky to still be in the game due to playing so badly and you were lucky Sunderland didn't create more as you's were so poor, but I do see what you mean about how it was worded. Same with the Cattermole, Simpson, Mclean bit... I wasn't sure if it sounded the way you described when I wrote it last night, so you're right that maybe I could have constructed that a little better. I thought it was a good save in all fairness, he had to get low to get it, and got a good hand to it so it was pushed away from danger. A simple penalty save is when it's a good height for the keeper... i didn't think this was a good height at all and he did well to push it away from danger. believe me when I say I used to be a keeper and know how hard it is to push a ball that's on the floor away with any real purchase. Dr Gloom 22176
style tip - use a player's full name on first reference then surname on subsequent mentions. you're writing for a blog, not a newspaper so not that important but if you have ambitions to get into print journalism it's pretty standard. Good tip thanks Not really ambitious to get in to journalism but you never know I guess, no harm in doing things the right way regardless tho
