You know you're a tool when the only one perfectly alligned with your position hasn't been to a game for 8 years and is the boards biggest mug. Also as Alex pointed out ages ago, when there's nothing funny don't put a " " just makes you look a bigger cunt.

You're regressing Stevie. I thought you had stopped with all this shite, everyone's a mug, every other country is shit and full of cunts, you're a bigger toon fan than anyone else etc. It was getting old 2 years ago but meeting your Mrs seemed to cheer you up a bit for a little while.

Abusing you doesn't mean I'm not happy. If you talk shite you'll be checked. As many people have mentioned you can be a bit of a wank, that's clearly your issue not mine. The only two real nobheads or mugs on here are you and Toonpack, although I don't think you're an inherently bad lad, you just look for alternative views and make yourself look a fool. I regularly get pms off people about you, and I defend you "it's not the kids fault it's the way he is".

Where have I said every cunt is shit, I'm hardly the number one toon fan, I've been to 4 away games in 3 years. Your patter hasn't changed the whole time I've used this board, other people are more scathing about you than I am. I'll c+p a PM I got about you from a kid a lot younger than us:

"Basically his 'crack' is:

I'm better / more moral than you.

and/or

I've work with kids for years / played football to a high level / have coached football / have personal experience which makes me an expert on this

and/or

I've just spent my wages on a pinball machine / 2nd hand Swatch."

It's spot on. Anyway pipe down a bit and talk when you have something to say.

It's All Downhill For The Players Who Deserted Rangers

Details Published on Saturday, 30 June 2012 03:48 Written by JCS

In some cases it’s hard not to think of the phrase, “Rats deserting the sinking ship”, given the unseemly exodus of players from the club over the past week, although in the exceptional case of Sone Aluko I genuinely believe that would be a harsh judgement, given that he financed his own transfer to Rangers and was out of contract in any event.

I refuse to put Steven Whittaker, Steven Naismith, Rhys McCabe, Jamie Ness, Kyle Lafferty, Steve Davis and Alan McGregor in the same category as Sone Aluko, and I notice that the others who have followed them out of the Ibrox door with unseemly haste over the past couple of days, continue to offer the same lame excuses as Messrs. Naismith and Whittaker did during their hastily arranged, and cringe worthy, press conference last weekend.

If, by any chance, you missed the Naismith & Whittaker joint press conference, then I invite you to watch it, and I suggest that you pay particular attention to their body language in addition to their rather pathetic attempts to justify what is, in essence, a wholly mercenary decision.

Neither of the two could look directly at the journalists posing the questions, and both were furtive and evasive in their answers. Their body language was defensive and their answers disingenuous. Guilt - not regret - was written all over them.

Let me be clear about my criticism of these players. It is not about their decision to leave Rangers but, rather, about their inability to be open and honest with the management team and the supporters about why they wish to leave.

With speculation mounting that Bocanegra and Edu will join Fleck, Ortiz and the others as the next to announce their departure, I wonder if we will be able to field, and maintain, an effective team in whatever division we end up in - assuming, of course, that we end up in one at all!

The rumours are rife – indeed, even the dogs in the street seem to know – that many of our players had been touted around the English leagues (and further afield) by their agents for several weeks, and the obvious interest of EPL and English Championship clubs has been reported widely in the national and local press.

Indeed, from the moment that Rangers entered administration, and the bidding fiasco was laid bare in the print and broadcast media, some of our players automatically assumed that the ‘writing was on the wall’, and their lucrative contracts and comfortable lifestyles were in grave danger and, not surprisingly, they have now moved speedily to safeguard their lucrative income by jumping ship with indecent haste.

The decisions of our club captain, Steve Davis, and Rangers stalwart, Alan McGregor, to quit the club are particularly disappointing, and lend credence to the theory of premeditation and pre-planning given the persistent rumours of impending transfers and links to other clubs.

It is widely believed that Steve Davis will sign for Southampton soon, and Stoke's very speedy signing of Jamie Ness gives substance to the concern that many of our players were being touted to other clubs well in advance of the TUPE 'row' with Charles Green

I must admit though I thought Davis and McGregor would do the honorable thing and transfer their contracts then leave, perhaps, after a decent interval and a reluctant farewell but, in truth, they only delayed their respective decisions to jump on the exit bandwagon by a few hours, and it's difficult not to conclude that their decisions are opportunistic and designed simply to maximise the benefit to themselves.

Ok. That’s life in football nowadays. There is no such thing as loyalty any more. Well, that’s the prevalent view anyway.

But, it’s certainly not one that Lee McCulloch, Lee Wallace, Kyle Hutton, Ross Perry, Neil Alexander and others appear to subscribe too. They have chosen to remain in spite of the uncertainty, and have chosen not to ‘trot out’ the feeble excuses that Messrs. Whittaker and Naismith have.

Indeed young Ross Perry, in particular, deserves our fulsome praise for his decision to stay with Rangers, and his very welcome statement confirming his commitment to, and love for the club. A big thank you must also go to Chris Hegarty who commited his future to Rangers with an extension to his contract. Well done lads!

However, Steven Naismith continues to maintain that he is not a traitor for walking out on Rangers, and at his press conference he said: “I’d like to think that the fans will understand. As a supporter I`m angry about what’s happened to Rangers because I grew up supporting a club that has been liquidated and now a new company, Sevco, has effectively taken its place.”

No, I don’t understand that Steven. Indeed, I think your excuses are self- serving nonsense!

We are still the Rangers FC and that will never change!

If you wish to leave to earn more money elsewhere, then that’s fine. If you wish to play in the EPL or some other prominent league, then that’s fine; but please don’t insult us by pedaling the blatant untruth that Rangers is gone and that Sevco has taken its place.

You have never played for, and never would have played for, a team called Sevco!

Naismith asserts that his, “loyalty was to Rangers Football Club — that was the team which signed me and the one I took a 75 per cent pay cut for. There is obviously going to be criticism of players who leave. That was always going to happen but I hope that a lot of people see the good that the majority of them did for the club.”

Yes Steven, you took a 75% pay cut – for which we are all genuinely grateful – in exchange for a binding clause in your contract entitling you to leave the club at a ‘bargain basement’ price. That was the quid pro quo for your sacrifice. That was the ‘get out’ clause that you, Whittaker and others have now triggered; a get out clause that will mean the club misses out on a transfer fee - however small. But, it will, of course, mean a vastly increased signing on fee for you and your agent.

To ‘jump ship’ at this time is inexcusable. To have stayed for the pre-season and sought your transfer in the normal manner would, at least, have earned the club a transfer fee which, at this time, would be invaluable income to a club now in dire financial straits.

Is that the loyalty you speak of? Because, it’s certainly not the kind of loyalty demonstrated by Lee McCulloch, Lee Wallace and Kyle Hutton and Ross Perry, and it’s not the loyalty that many of us expected from you, Whitts and the others who are deserting the Rangers ‘cause’ at this most difficult of times.

It may be that some Rangers fans will accept your disingenuous excuses, but I, for one, find them reprehensible and insulting.

Go, by all means, but please don’t expect us to thank you for your service. You were all paid handsomely for your services, and you will all leave, not with our approbation, but in the sure and certain knowledge that, for you, it’s all downhill from here.

You will never play for as big a club as Rangers again.

From Rangers main fan site, an article by the ediorial. What a deluded bunch of wanks. They're basically saying the players are idiots for leaving Rangers. Unbelievable. Rangers will quite possibly be playing in Scottish Division 3, next season. Berwick's league. Blyth Spartans are better than Berwick, they really are, and I bet they pay bigger wages. Blyth are in the SEVENTH tier of English football that is the level Rangers will be playing at and they expect the players to ignore Championship and Premiership clubs!? Unbelievable really. Steven Naismith is signing for Everton, they're not massive but they're certainly no smaller than Rangers, Jamie Ness has signed for Stoke, do these bigots expect young players to stay and play against the likes of Arbroath and Alloa??!

It's like the same thing happening here and expecting Cisse and Benny to play in the Conference. It's ridiculous. I tell you something though I can just see our number 23 staying and honouring his contract is that ever happened.

You sure that PM wasn't off Alex cos that's the same patter he comes out with whenever he turns up these days. Nice attempt at deflecting from my point about your inane repetitive patter about mugs/foreigners/bigger club etc.

Oh and I don't think I've ever claimed that the Durham Sunday League is a high level! I do recall you claiming to be a fucking legend when it comes to footie however. A certain video that's been posted numerous times springs to mind

Article in the Glasgow Herald this morning had a rather disturbing statement.

"Charles Green last night submitted the paperwork required for the SFA to process the application by a newco Rangers for membership status, writes Richard Wilson. The documents will be studied on Monday, with the application itself not officially adjudicated on until after the club has been granted a league place."

Seems to be another bending of the rules - i.e. here's a berth in SFL1/3 even though you're not yet officially a member.

Alex doesn't post on here nee more. No this kid is 21 years of age. It wasn't an attempt at deflecting my patter, it was a criticism of your pathetic postings. Take this thread you have FUCK ALL TO SAY. Something about me something about bigots, you're not cut out for interesting debate, particularly about football. Boils down to lack of opinion and knowledge imo.

I never said the Durham Sunday League was a shit level, what you on about you paranoid skinheed? I'm on the drink in "Derrum" later on so if I see you I'll say "hi" :)

I can understand Rangers fans being pissed off about their players jumping ship....I'd feel the same. However they surely can't expect any player to see out their old contracts in lower league football? The SPL is shit enough without dropping down a level or two......blame the directors not the players

Aye occasionally they play in front of 1000's in the Scottish Premier League, I can't see them wanting to turn that into 100's in grounds no stands.

I can't understand how Green could honestly afford to pay their wages in the bottom division. I'd guess that he was hoping to sell half of them anyway to give the club some working capital.

Say if they get 40,000, they're only losing £3m or £4m a year?

I've no idea of the figures involved but they were already losing money in the SPL with the TV and prize money while not paying their NI contributions so I'd imagine that the situation would only be worse in League 2.
