Guest alex
He definitely played in a pre-season friendly as I can remember Aaron Hughes going on about how well he read the game etc. in an interview.

Dr Gloom 22181
should have started himself ahead of silvio maric tbh
LeazesMag 0
Maric was a talented player who never settled here, these things happen, he wasn't the first and won't be the last.

We won't ever know what went wrong with him. If we spent the rest of the Carroll money willy-nilly just for the sake of it we'd see more of those types. Thorough and considered scouting in the transfer market is the key to avoiding them.

I'd rather talk about the example of signing players "willy-nilly" who give you champions League and european football for most of 15 years, thanks. Kitman 2207
so that's a yes? good I can get back on the drink Yes, I went to the Madejski to watch it as I lived near Reading at the time. iirc he came on second half because we were utterly gash. I thought he was a class above the rest of the team which was depressing given he was the manager and wasn't meant to be playing. Was fantastic to see him play though. We won't ever know what went wrong with him. He was the best player on the pitch against us for Croatia Zagreb twice, I suppose we thought we were signing someone like what Modric is today. He just didn't apply himself properly nice ball for Shearer against Tottenham at OT though. I'll never forget a night game here against Derby the ball came across the box and Maric just had the keeper to beat, Shearer didn't trust him to score so he literally pushed him out the way so he could put it in
