StoneColdStephenIreland 74
I would probably go as far to say apart from Man City we've got the best spine of a team in the Prem if all our players are fit. LeazesMag 0
@ Leazes. Ten years. And unlike you I get behind my team and I'm enjoying every minute of it, you sad bitter cunt. Edit: apologies for the language like but LM really is bitter and obsessed, to the extent he can't help slagging off Newcastle away fans for engaging in banter about Caroll. Unbelievable really. embarrassing. How much have you paid in the last 4 years, and the next 3 to "see the team lose every week". Coming from someone who is a self proclaimed smart lad, that is incredibly desperate and juvenile.
Howmanheyman 33881
92/93 was the best season by a million miles. I'd put this one about 6th or 7th in my most enjoyable seasons list. Completely agree. We went from getting beat by the likes of Oxford and Brighton to not just winning, but doing it with a swagger. It was such a dramatic change and also done in an era where as a supporter you could feel the enjoyment more, i.e. being on the terraces. Don't get me wrong though, this season I am mostly enjoying being that big, ugly looking black fly in Sky's/certain pundits/journalists ointment by being where we are not percieved to belong. Suck it up, Mother Fuckers!

Do you never get sick of repeating the same shit over and over again? Do you not think you'd be better off waiting for your apocalyptic predictions to come true before jizzing your pants and doing a 'I told you so' jig? Anyway, what's this with you asking people how much they spend on the club now? I'm fairly certain I spend at least as much as you, is that your point? Will I see you at Spurs on Saturday? Not that it's of any relevance at all like.
Monroe Transfer 0
The only thing last season has over this one is big wins. We've not scored more than 3 this season. By this time last year, we'd won 6-0, 5-1, 5-0, drawn 4-4 and we'd win 4-1 (Wolves) soon enough too. That's not a complaint though, at all, as satisfying as those scorelines were. I'd take consistent 1-0 wins over inconsistent form with the odd thrashing.

Dr Gloom 22181
It's great watching away games with the realistic hope that we'll get a result (the promotion season aside we've not had that in years) as well as not seeing us drop stupid points at home on a regular basis against inferior teams. The work ethic the team has goes a long way to explaining why this is the case and I think both Pardew and Hughton deserve credit for that. definitely. hughton installed it and pardew - to most peoples' surprise - has carried it on. got to agree about the spine of the side krul - colo - tiote - ba is as good a core of of players in the key positions as we had in the glory days of the 90s. if we can keep them together - and fit - and add more cabayes, santons and cisses around them then we're looking good for the future. whether or not the fatty running the club allows that to happen remains to be seen. he's got to be loving this season - will it get him excited about the club again? got to just hope that he builds on this season and we have another window in the summer like the one we just had where he adds to the squad rather than reverting to type. Which is? selling senior players we don't want selling.
Happy Face 29
You lend financial & vocal support at the stadium, you're a supporter. You don't, you're a fan. Works on the basis of what words mean as far as I'm concerned.
Andrew 4871
so what if you buy the shirts, spend money on the merch etc, get to games if you can but not often because youre a long way off fan or supporter?

Brock Manson 0
Genuinely the first (premiership of course) season in a long long time where I've felt relatively confident we can get a result from any team we're up against. Although to see a tight group of players and no arseholes wasting their ability and being caught getting shitfaced makes this season all the better. We definitely have one of the strongest 1st teams since the Robson days, that's for sure.

LeazesMag 0
no, human, and a supporter and fan , is their a distinction depending on how much money you,ve spent? leazes? oh dear. If you spend fuck all, what does it make someone who sees the team play regularly ? Only the non-supporters drag out this sort of bollocks. Fact is that the more you go to games, the more a supporter you are, if you can't be arsed to go to games, it doesn't make you much of a supporter does it ? There are exceptions, because there are sometimes circumstances, but anybody can watch a team on TV and say they support them. What sort of intellect says someone who can take supporting the club or leave it, is as committed as someone who goes to lots of games ? If NUFC lose, do you watch Dancing on Ice instead ? Why am I taking my time explaining this ? A supporter wouldn't even ask it. Edited February 6, 2012 by LeazesMag

Not that it's of any relevance at all like. my point is that I've paid for the next 3 years season tickets, so its ludicrous to suggest people doing that want the team to lose. What sort of crap is that ? I'm trying to tell you that I find this sort of thinking, by YOU [who admittedly isn't stupid, or are you ?] to be quite amazing. I've no problem if you have seen one more game than me this season or any of that bollocks, I don't need to justify myself to anybody, I've supported the club completely since 1964 and I'm sure you are a committed supporter too, you've only just made me doubt your intelligence by these remarks.
