Monroe Transfer 0
Williamson and simpson were fucking awful Oh please. Absolutely none of our players deserve to be talked about in such terms.
Noelie 103
3 Points ..... Brilliant. Demba 1 scores again ......Brilliant. Demba 2 scores on his debut .....Brilliant. Krul had more to do than Given ......Brilliant. Obertan actually put a sliding tackle in on Zoggy ........ Brilliant. Must say if it hadn't been for Krull we would have lost that game. Gemmill 46088
If Ben Arfa had played like Obertan did today he would be getting grief. If Ben Arfa played like Obertan did today, it would be a big improvement on his recent efforts.

David Kelly 1260
Williamson and simpson were fucking awful Oh please. Absolutely none of our players deserve to be talked about in such terms. They do like, they were dross. I'm not one to knock williamson, I think he's been a million extremely well spent but he was tortured today. Even Heskey looked good against him and if Simpson doesn't want to sign a new contract then he can fuck off, he's a very average player.

If Ben Arfa played like Obertan did today, it would be a big improvement on his recent efforts. With the amount of space Obertan got I expected more output from him. You can see him thinking what to do, and by that time the opposition have caught up with him. No point of having pace if you don't know how to use it. David Kelly 1260
Btw their fans were a disgrace when Raylor was taken off. He got wiped out by warnock who clearly should have been sent off (no doubt nothing will be done because that was a challenge that could actually break someones leg rather than a petulant little tap) and not one if them applaud him off despite his obvious pain, rather they have a go at him! Utter cunts. Oh and merson, fuck off you mug. Big club my arse!!

Monroe Transfer 0
I know Guthrie, Perch, Ba, Krul and Cisse are getting most of the plaudits but I thought Gutierrez was my MOTM today. He was superb, even without his assist for the Cisse goal. A constant threat.
ChezGiven 0
McLeish called him out as typifying our performance and work rate. Was partly his fault for the first goal though. If anyone isn't getting talked about enough it's Santon, played well today.

No Ben Arfa fanboy, just don't rate Obertan in the slightest way possible. Worst player i've ever seen in black and white (and I had a Grimsby Town season ticket when I lived there. He looks like Ronaldinho compared to Paul Dalglish and he wasn't even close to being the worst either. I'm not Obertan's biggest fan be he was areet today man. ChezGiven 0
Jonas was too poor in the first half to be considered for motm but has a good second half. Him and Santon were much better after the break.
Park Life 71
Good battling performance and class finishing the difference between the sides. Krul kept us in the game early on against Bent. Thought standout performances were from Santon and Guthrie. Guthrie just shading MOM for me. Ba2 just do what they do, finish chances. The finish by Papis was as good as any finish by Demba this season and is a calling card of things to come. :toon: nb Perch tidy and comfortable today and had a little peck at goal bless him. Christmas Tree 4851
Sorry in advance, havent read the thread as not long in from the match and had to make my own tea and set the telescope up for the bairn first. Thought we played some decent stuff at times today and so excited of things to come from the front partnership. Quite amazed that dodgy knee goes in as hard as he does and Demba 2 looks to have very good feet, a desire to win the ball and movement that has been so lacking. Krul was hi usual incredible self and I could have kissed him for saving us in the dying minutes. Perch also gets a stand out mention for his performance and overall tenacity in the tackling department. Wish his long range effort had gone in. Thought Obertan totally livened up the Right wing and only expecting him to improve under Pardew and with good strikers ahead of him. Santon showed a few glimpses of his attacking prowess but ended up getting bogged down too much on the wing with Jonas. Hot chocolate was fantastic, resisted Balti pie. Sneaked in a twix. Delighted with the win.

Dr Gloom 22185
If Ben Arfa had played like Obertan did today he would be getting grief. Not with you there. Ben arfa is clearly the more talented player but his recent outings have been poor. Obertan has responded to being dropped with a goal scoring cameo off the bench and a much improved 90 mins today.
