TheMoog 0
Dodgy source (http://www.thefootballnetwork.net/main/s70/st174733.htm?) but... Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-mbiwa is said to have left France for Tyneside ahead of a medical due to take place tomorrow after a fee was agreed between the two clubs. Last week his agent denied there was interest from Bayern Munich, when a scout from the German side turned up at a recent game. However, rumour has it he is due to sign a 4.5 year deal at Newcastle United. The 22 year old who has picked up 24 yellow cards and 3 reds in his career at Montpellier, and scored 5 goals, was quoted by Sky Sports at the beginning of the year talking about interest from other clubs, he said; "I am flattered by the interest from the French champions, but there is no agreement between the clubs, so I am still here with Montpellier. Newcastle are interested? Well it means my performances have crossed the country. My dream league has always been the Premier League, so you never know. But for me if Montpellier have to agree a fee with a team, then who knows? But I would love to play one day in England."

Toon_Man 0
Bit of a tongue-twister to say. Like what's already been said, no better sources are reporting it but a centre-back is what we really do need, but I doubt we'll get.

DragonFilet 0
if being newcastle fan has taught me anything over the past year and a half, its never to believe a transfer rumor until I see the player wearing black and white.

JoCo85 0
Saw rumours he was spotted at the Brighton match...nothing substantiated and no reliable sources. Just wishful thinking cause would be a good signing.
Baggio 0
I doubt they would sell their captain while they are challenging for the title tbh.

OTF 7496
I wonder if he's finished that medical yet 'twas just his family GP tbh, moved to Newcastle last year and he continues to see him. Had some sort of boil on his foot. The good news is that it is responding to treatment.
