Einstein married his cousin, his first cousin maternally, second cousin paternally.

Whatever happened to inbreeding producing retardation?

How clever were the kids then? Whether Einstein married his own sister is irrelevant to his intelligence, its his parents pedigree that matters.

Given that his wife was his cousin by BOTH parents is it not safe to say there's some interbreeding among his forebears?

Having said that, his first boy did quite well at university. He has a wiki page.

But Einstein maried twice, not sure which marriage the lad came from.

I guess it does mean the parents were a bit inbred, i hadnt thought it through that far. The second cousin thing means they share a great grandparent on the paternal side. Does it have to be the same one?

I didn't either tbh. I had the same thought as you after posting and it made my head hurt to think about their family trees too much.

The basic point of interest was Einstein is a redneck, the retardation comment that followed was more flippant.

I am sure I read somewhere that Einstein couldn't tie his own shoe laces?

The base circumference of the Great Pyramid is in direct proportion to the circumference of the earth around the equator, the ratio is expressed by the number of years it takes for the earth to return to the same position on its polar axis. The movement of the earth around the polar axis is essential for predicting in which constellation the sun will rise on the equinoxes.

In the early 1800s, Napoleon took a famous mathematician to Egpyt to measure the Pyramids and confirm the existing theories. The mathematician could not make the measurements of the earth and the pyramid match exactly. The error was small but significant.

When scientists realised the earth was an elipsis not a sphere, due to the equatorial bulge of the earth caused by the gravitational pull of the sun, they adjusted the earth's circumference. The new circumference fits the ratio exactly and accounts for the error that Napoleon's mathematician could not compensate for.

Hence the ancient Egpytians were geologists not just astronomers. Good ones too.

Or maybe Napoleon just hired cowboys. He abandoned plans to build a canal from the Mediterranean to the Red Sea because of incorrect geological calculations iirc.

Napoleon was murdered on the island of Saint Helena with arsenic in his wallpaper.

Trying to find out what you mean I found this though....

Centre of Land Mass: The Great Pyramid is located at the centre of the land mass of the earth. The east/west parallel that crosses the most land and the north/south meridian that crosses the most land intersect in two places on the earth, one in the ocean and the other at the Great Pyramid.

which is interesting too.

Berwick is still at war with Germany or something like that.

Was Russia, but a Soviet official visited there in the 60's as a peace exercise iirc

Urban myth anyway, Shirley?
