Think it's the root that causes your eyes to water the most, i.e. when you cut into it / near it. Seem to remember being told that by some celebrity chef on telly once. Very good, but that doesnt explain how some weeks they dont cause your eyes to water and some weeks they do. There's some chemical in them that causes it. It's more prevalent in some onions, i.e. not as much in mild onions like red ones. I know about skjype and all that but you either have to dial someone on skype or buy skype credit. Basically just wondered if I could call a number without dragging my arse over to the house phone.
