sweetleftpeg 0
Unfortunately I'm going out on Saturday night with a bunch of twats the wrong side of 25 who I can guarantee have bought this album in a desperate attempt to cling to their youth. Like I said though, they seem canny, and time will tell if this is a 'classic.'
Chaser 1217
sound good from what ive heard, will have to get the album for a proper listen Boyo what would you prefer to listen to ??
Gemmill 44995
Crap name tbh. They're not exactly destined for world domination with a stupid name like Arctic Monkeys are they? (FACT) SLP - the wrong side of 25 is the sub-25 side tbh.
Tom_NUFC 0
They're being hyped to the hilt, and that can turn people off. But hype or no hype, it doesn't change the fact that it's a bloody great album.

Smooth Operator 10
Don't know if the song "Bigger boys and stolen sweethearts" is on the album but's its on a copy I've got. Anyway this song was written for Wacky imo, dwarf that can't hold onto a lass, spot on. Edited January 25, 2006 by Smooth Operator

Tom_NUFC 0
Arctic Monkeys = Poorman's White Stripes FACT tbh. 84408[/snapback] Nah. The Arctic Monkeys stuff is about things in everyday life and far too British to be anything like the White Stripes. I think the best comparison I've heard is The Libertines, but even then, I don't think they're a poor man's Libertines or Libertines rip off (that would Baybshambles), because I think they have their own style. Happy Face 29
This review is pretty unfair, complaing that the good tracks are in the wrong place is just whingeing. Otherwise I whole heartedly agree.

luckypierre 0
definitely getting old. No offence Tom but Arctic Monkeys have their own style?? Thats one thing they dont have. Most British music nowadays is just a regurgation of new wave and punk rock, which were better the first time round and the second. Ive lost count of the number of new bands that sound like Joy Division, not that thats a bad thing but if I want to listen to Joy Division I'll listen to Joy Division. None of them are anywhere near as good as the Pixies anyway hmmphh now thats a fact! Edited January 27, 2006 by luckypierre
