Christmas Tree 4851
Local charities and good causes are being given a chance to win an executive box for an upcoming Magpies match, thanks to Newcastle United Foundation. The Foundation, an independent charity supported by Newcastle United Football Club, will donate the box to a deserving North-East project for the Newcastle's home game against Wolves on Saturday, 25th February, at the Sports Direct Arena (kick-off 3pm). Guests will be served drinks and a three-course meal in the comfort of the box enjoying the pre-match build-up, after which they can soak up the stadium atmosphere from the private balcony area. The box also includes an LCD TV, allowing guests to re-live each goal close-up. The charity will also be given a framed shirt signed by the current first team players. The box, which seats eight people and is situated in the South West corner, could be used in a number of ways. For example, the chosen charity may decide to give a group of deserving youngsters a day to remember, or to provide an afternoon of well-earned respite for carers. Alternatively, the use of the executive box could be used as a raffle or auction prize to raise funds for the charity. Charities interested in this opportunity should write a short paragraph explaining what they do and how they would use the box, and email it to foundation@nufc.co.uk by Friday, 27th January. Doesnt someone on here have their own charity????
smoggeordie 0
Cheers for this. My dad is a patron for a local charity (Clarke Lister Foundation) and a couple of NUFC players are patrons too. I'll forward it on and hope they remember me if they win it!

Christmas Tree 4851
Isnt ScottishMag involved with a charity? Or started one? That's the fella I was thinking of. The charity good cause does need to be local though. Other thing that springs to mind is that rias rainbow???? Not too sure what it was all about as it was during my "lost" time. Just vaguely think it might be a good local cause. Apologies if it's not. On the bat phone so haven't searched.
