Also might be a case of Pardew worrying about where the goals are going to come from. You'd assume having 2 strikers on the pitch might bring you more goals than 1 who doesn't score enough and Ben Arfa. Yes I know Ben Arfa has 2 in his last 4 appearances. And like Man U, their weakness is at centre back. Still think it's ridiculous as they are going to be hard to break down and probably not that ambitious today. We'll see.
