Thought we would lose and hoped it wouldn't be a cricket score.

Can't believe it, fucking brilliant,, 3 v nowt. Hard work all around with the exception of the Stroller.

However I have to question Pardoo again. Best, Perch, Obertan, ahead of BenArfa & Vuckic!! What's his thing about not playing BenArfa?

agreed, ridicolous subs... I guess he was trying to showcase the players pretending they were part of the victory so he might could have a chance getting rid of them and collect some more transfer cash :P (lol, im dreaming)

just go fuck yerself

100% commitment that, some quality combined with hard graft gets results. If we played like that on Friday we would have won too.

Over to HBA to prove he's got the application to go with his skill and stake a claim

Don't think Pardew sees a place for him in the team. Obviously prefers two out and out strikers up front in a pretty rigid 442 which doesn't have a free role within it. If that's the case we may as well cash in on HBA.

the lads were great tonight

(nothing to do with pardew like, just same old setup and bad substiutions) Ba Cabaye and Tiote just ran riot

alan mastered putting ryan his right place though and kicked obertan the fuck out, shouldve been done ages ago but credit to him for finally getting it... :P

Steven Taylor has an incredible ability to respond to any question with a cliche. He's an absolute machine.

What's with the lack of first names for his teammates as well?

All you complainers and those who want to take this away from Pardew, take a hike. Total bollocks to criticise the managers decisions. Granted it wasn't the starting line-up we wanted to see, but it worked didn't it? And Pardew did select it.

Ben Arfa coming on would have been crazy. We didn't need an attacking minded player coming on when we were 2-0 up!!

Actually feel like a kid who's had too much lemonade of christmas eve, i'm giddy, excited and have a constant smile on my face. I can't believe it, even though he risked it with shite subs (Perch's first touch gifting them a chance ffs ) Pardew made the right decisions otherwise tonight, although I give the players most of the credit for an amazing performance. Santon in particular impressed me, giving him being young and having not played much, starting against the Champions of England and running at them as well as getting stuck in. Brilliant.

Brilliant result and team performance the work rate was fantastic.

Ben Arfa has ability there is no doubt about that but would he of put in a shift like the rest of the team did tonight?

Ba 'plays in the hole' as he just said. Its not as if Ba plays in the same position but him using that to describe him just then was interesting. Its still ridiculous as he should at least get a game on the wing ahead of Ryan Taylor.

Anyone moaning about the manager tonight really wants to look at themselves. We're just 4 points off a champions league spot and have just dispatched the champions for the first time in a decade with one of the best performances in living memory. It was achieved through hard work, the manager using the right tactics and getting players to play with an amazing spirit. credit where its due.

lol fucking hell like i said same as always , same subs, same clueless cunt, just because it works once in a while it doesn't make him Trappatoni

but aye all credit to him doing the same thing as the last few games we didn't get results in well played

Erm, not really. He could have quite easily gone with the starting line up as usual. But he took a player who's played LB and started him RM. now that's a bloody contrasting decision.

unfair not giving him a chance coming in at 2-0 when he's 100% fit...the kid needs playtime, he will and must be an important piece when ba is away and he should be prepared by being given time on the pitch.

Haven't read any of this thread, been watching it else where, but absolutely delighted. Deserved victory, wonderful goals, the third couldn't have happened against a nicer team. Can't remember enjoying a game as much for a while, absolutely superb.

Same old boring 4-4-2, for some reason the players were on fire tonight. Probably due to it being at home vs Man U?

Some people on here make it as if its China 1000 B.C and he just invented gunpowder.

Great game by the lads. Ryan taylor on the wing rather than HBA? Right laugh.

He needs a run out. But not 2-0 up against Man Utd who can quite easily score 2 in 2 mins. Better bringing people on who will run and chase and play the game out.

I'm sure it's already been said but, we played the champions, with their strongest team out, and they couldn't string 3 passes together we were that good. Can't remember Krul making a save and we should have had a stone wall penalty. Brilliant stuff
