Howmanheyman 33876
Just to get back to remembered matches, I remember most of them going back to the eighties. Us taking Anfield over in a cup game in 1984 and genuinely singing and shouting for virtually the whole game as our 2nd div side got beat 4-0 by them. I remember Mavis Reilly scoring a diving header which won us the game up here about '85, remember sitting with Everton fans in a bar down there, having failed to get a ticket just knowing we were going to beat you at Anfield. We did, 2-0. Stevie Watson standing in as a striker as we had none and scoring a fucking peach after holding off a few liverpool players and chipping the keeper. Mirandinha hitting the winner in front of the Kop from the spot was superb. The 4-3 game we lost is waaay behind all these. Kenny Dalglish? Have respect for him they way he dealt with Hillsborough, acknowledge he signed one or two good players for us (as well as some overpriced shit), but felt he was too negative and not sure his heart was in it up here. What do I think of Liverpool? Met a few decent ones to be honest, your club? Just wondering when the media are going to realise you haven't won the league for twenty years, its so like their obsession with your mates from old trafford when they were in a similar position. Also, no fault of your own but glory hunters just get on my tits and you've a fucking boatload, almost as many as Man U.
DutchRed 0
There's a fine difference between how Bobby Robson conducted himself and how that gibbering wreck of a manager your lot does though. It's a bit disrespectful you'd even make the comparison. Daglish dismantled the best attacking side in England when he took over Newcastle also btw. He also signed Andreas Andersson and Ian Rush. No amount of Nobby Solano's can make up for the fact he went to Anfield for that infamous second 4-3 and didn't start Les Ferdinand and David Ginola. He basically derailed NUFC until Bobby Robson (twice the manager Daglish ever will be btw) moved us forward again. I don't remember that Dalglish ever did misconduct himself, but he isn't that much a gentleman as Robson obviously. Even if he did misconduct himself, calling him a 'c*nt' remains disrespectful. And still, Dalglish had his good things, he just isn't as attacking a manager as Keegan was, which caused him some problems.
manc-mag 1
To save you reading the thread; we're also tossers, gobshites, wankers, arseholes, twats, Aeris is a cock and Drug Wasp is a cunt. I think they have a problem with people not loving King Kenny, judging by their response. And one precious mod (the one who forced the Suarez tag underneath usernames no doubt) is tempted to delete the thread due to "the disrespect they show": very very tempted to delete it due to the disrespect they show.I know a few Geordies and none are like that.Where in hell did you find them? Oh and DutchRed (OP) doesn't like us. Nice of you to put on a positive front whilst in this thread, eh? I think it's great that you put the effort in to answer and I'm very grateful for that. Just didn't like the abuse of Dalglish. Perhaps a bit naive on my behalf to put that question in, it's predictable as every set of fans seem to dislike him. Why are you particularly arsed about people's opinions of Dalglish? When asked as a stand-alone question (and you get genuinely offended by honest answers), it just suggests that your reason for asking is because you think people should be fawning over him, which is massively sad. Just because LFC worship him, why do you imagine other clubs would feel the same way? I won't force anyone to like Dalglish. But a 'retard', an 'arsehole' or even a 'c*nt' is a bit disrespectful. You would probably react the same if Liverpool supporters(or anyone on that behalf) called Sir Bobby Robson such things. And I was a bit surprised too with the hatred for Dalglish at Newcastle. It was him who guided your team to the Champions League for the first time, it was him who guided your team to the FA Cup final for the first time in a quarter of a century and brought in some great players too. But that's not a problem, just something that surprised me. Disrespectful? That thead is absolutely shot through with the same word, it's embarrasing tbf and just goes to show how massively over-precious you are as a club about him. He's clearly not 'retarded'. If he was actually retarded that would obviously be horrendously disrespectful. As for 'arsehole' and 'cunt', well those are matters of opinion and he's a very unlikeable man on a personal level, I'm sure that's a not uncommon view amongst English football fans generally. He's got an horrendous persecution complex and moans a lot, so many non-LFC fans think he's a pain in the arse. I know I do. He's come back and spent a fortune for you but so far hasn't done anything of particular note. If he does then perhaps you'll get the 'respectful' answers you're clearly looking for. What he's achieved in the past is a simple matter of fact but it's historical now and a matter of record (not opinions).. more to the point though it doesn't assist you at the present moment, which is all that matters and (I'm guessing) is what you get so touchy about being away from the top table. He's a throwback to when you were the top team in the game, but just because he's back now doesn't mean you're back to where you were or particularly likely to get back there. manc-mag 1
In essence, I think LFC's whole demanding of 'respect' about anything and everything associated with LFC boils down to some sort of collective compensating for the league passing them by for 20 years. Hark back to past glories etc etc so that they feel like they still 'matter'. The problem is it's basically irrelevant to the rest of football though. As much as I detest Man U (and I do far more than LFC), a Man U fan can just say: "put your Premiership winners medals on the table" to basically any club. The other day i caught SKY showing the odds for the title, They put Liverpool on with the Man U's and Man City's at odds of 250-1. Why? Might as well have shown the odds of every team down to 13th, to be honest. This is what I mean about the media's obsession. By the way, to our Dutch friend, how could I forget Andy cole getting three at the Gallowgate as Neil Ruddock was taught what being a footballer was really about as Sellars, Lee etc ran rings around that utter clown, Souness' side? ewerk 31216
I think precious is the best word that has been used to describe their fans. How dare anyone question the genius of 'King Kenny'? There'll be a fair few of them questioning him in a couple of years when he has spent £200m and still can't get them near the CL places. Blind loyalty is not a positive attribute. manc-mag 1
Why didn't you out of interest? I mean irish football is utterly shite so thats why we all support something over the water, but if your local teams Ajax or equiv it's a bit different To be fair he only signed up for RAWK on 2nd Feb, just after Suarez signed, so he's possibly just an Ajax jumpship/dual fan/Suarez fan (or whatever). Howay 12496
Dalglish is a cunt, does that upset you some more? The fact that it upsets them to the point where they want to delete that thread really amuses me, honestly DutchRed you and your muppet pals need to get a grip imagine if we reacted the way you just have anytime people give Keegan abuse ffs in the same thread about how we're disrespectful there are people abusing Keegan . You lot need to wake up you're not media darlings, I'm not from North Shields for the mug that said we are I grew up in Benwell and there's fuck all wrong with Shields anyway it's far nicer than the vast majority of what I've seen of your hellhole. Aye we could have been nice and civil about Dalglish for your precious feelings but the fact is even if we know it's going onto your forum you came onto OUR forum we can say whatever we want on here, people have very different opinions of the same people because of the side they're on it shouldn't bother you what we say or think about your manager. The bloke calling us deluded cracked me up, pot calling kettle.
MattM4 0
Dalglish's behaviour has been an embarrassment all season for Liverpool and that's even before taking into account his stance, comments and actions over the whole Suarez thing. Despicable, delusional, senile man.

They indeed tended to have a bad name when it comes down to hooliganism, but their fans learned how to behave a bit. Today it's Ajax, Feyenoord, Utrecht and Twente making all the trouble. But still, hooliganism is a big issue in Holland, in most big/rivals battles away fans are banned.
