JawD 99
Something wor lass actually pointed out to me today. Do you think that young lads (say 18~25) are more "feminine" these days? When I was a bairn if people went on (walk/dress etc) you'd have them down as homosexual. Is it that it is more acceptable so lads dont feel the need to be so "male". I pissed myself laughing when she said it as she's usually pretty "PC". But as we walked around the metro centre how damn right she was Typically it involved wearing jeans hanging around your arse and "mincing". Or am I just getting old these days? Actually reading it now I sound more like Alf Garnett...
Gejon 2
No I agree. Men just aren't men these days (I do actually mean that as stupid as it sounds)
CleeToonFan 1
What pisses me off is relatively alpha males who act all feminine and caring when around women. All this "oh last night was so emotional "girls name" you're mad we had such a bloody great time" (to not exactly perfectly quote some lad on facebook). I mean I have some embarrassingly feminine mannerisms, but at least I don't meck out i'm such a hard bastards to my mates whilst checking the wine list with my lass. Those jeans around arse lads are cunts though, especially if worn with one of those god damn awful condom hats. Dunno if they come with a free personality extractor or something but they're usually boring cunts.
Andrew 4966
a bit but its mostly just fashion of the day, have you been in a topman lately? its all ridiculous looking (and im in that age group) stupid, too short pants with the elasticated bottom and those TOMS shoes
Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
Just another case of young men emasculating themselves in an attempt to impress young women, most of whom resemble tribal elders from Papa New Guinea with the layers of fake tan, make up, hair extensions and so on. I blame sex education--it is a disgrace that cunnilingus is not included on the curriculum, as then men would realise that there is no need for any of this tomfoolery if they just knew how to apply their tongue to the clitoris in the correct manner. Then they could stop being insecure, intellectually redundant tarts who pretend to like the X Factor and all sorts of other accepted cultural excrement in an attempt to be accepted by their peers, and more importantly, the opposite sex. As we stand to continue, the country is going to the dogs.
JawD 99
Dont go in Topman but I can imagine. I honestly feel like walking up and saying "pull your frigging strides up man" I guess it it just fashion, if that includes the mincing then fair enough

Tom 14021
Aye It's regularly been noticed in fashion. Like when blokes started wearing pink t shirts about 10 years back to show their ''feminine'' side but on the same night out they'd go scrapping. People who have started to resemble the 'guido' culture of America concern me, same people who take the piss out of my long hair. Soulless tossers. McFaul 35
They're definitely more effeminate than my generation was. 15 year old my idea of smelling nice was spraying Lynx inside and ootside me shirt, nuw younguns are turning oot with £60 bottles of aftershave aal owa them. When I started going to the Bigg Market, regardless how many people you were with you knew there was always the possibility you'd end up in a fight, and you were actually guaranteed to see a punch up. Now, kids are more polite and conformalist, in all aspects of life.

I tell you what as well drug usage is far less than it was they all know the damages of cowies, charlie and whizz now, in the past kids were less inhibited, you could say that's a positive, not sure Wacky would agree

Ruler of Planet Houston 1
I've often thought the same like. If these kids travelled back in time and walked into my school they would be beaten to a bloody pulp for dressing so bent. It's an insult to gay people though. We think they must be gay, but even gays don't dress as gay as this. There's a few lads I have seen that wear some sort of girls blouse - a neckline just above their nipples...like that pleb from geordie shore. And them stupid plimsoles from 4 year olds P.E. lessons (in my day) with no socks and skinny ankle jeans. And why the fuck do they insist on growing their hair so big that they look like a massive heed...with their hair forced into unnatural directions. As far as I'm concerned, they all need a good kicking. Although, I'm pretty sure the old gents in their 70's were mocking us for not wearing suits like the wartime clobber they have hung on to since their youth. manc-mag 1
One thing I will say is that I think the Toon was at the vanguard of this, quite strangely. Definitely noticed more of those massively angular hairstyles in Newcastle than other cities to start with. Lots of people looking gay, while actually still being one of the more homophobic cities of the country. Quite an odd discrepancy really. Other places have caught up now but I definitely noticed the gay hairstyle/t shirt combo prevalent on a large scale amongst hetero NE lads first. Just like to add that I've not noticed one instance of it amongst people I've met off here. *disclaimer*
