Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
The original one has just been on tv again, absolute classic. What do you reckon Charlie's "great idea" is at the end as they are hanging over the edge?
Jimbo 175
the "remake" was a disgrace to the original.
luckyluke 2
It looked a great film, unfortunately I was knackered so I kept dropping off! Noel Coward is great in it.
The Fish 11058
his great idea will be to move one gold bar at a time, sliding it along the floor I'd guess?

Result? gold slides further away / bus falls to doom.
Ally 0
Thought the remake was a good film in itself, but not a patch on the original.
Rob W 0
How many remakes are as good as the original??? And almost no remake is BETTER than the original IMHO
Jusoda Kid 1
I liked Benny Hill in it
Happy Face 29
How many remakes are as good as the original??? And almost no remake is BETTER than the original IMHO 71899 Which ones are then? I reckon A Fistful of Dollars is better than Yojimbo and Scarface (De Palma) is better than Scarface (Hawks).
Rob W 0
Well Magnificent Seven is a different take on Seven Samurai its the straight copies I can't stand "get Carter" for example
Happy Face 29
The Phsyco remake is sublime. Shot for shot identical to the original, no point in it whatsoever.

What do you reckon Charlie's "great idea" is at the end as they are hanging over the edge? 71793 As a boy, I can recall being sooooooo frustrated at the end of that movie. I wanted so much for them to get away with it and was devastated when the bus ended up in its predicament. The 'plan' would surely have been to get the skinniest member of the gang to slide and get one bar of gold at a time, whilst the rest got as far forward to counter-balance him???? Surely one of the best movies of all time. 'you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!'

Jimbo 175
Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings is far better than the 70's animated version, and also personally speaking the new King Kong is better than the original too.

Ally 0
Charlie and the chocolate factory. 72355 The old one is one of my all time kids favourites, I thought the new one was no where near as good. They didn't even sing the Umpla Lumpa song for gods sake!!
Craig 6700
Thomas Crown Affair - the original stinks of donkey shit! And I agree with Oceans 11 as well - the original is nowhere near as good as the remake but I put that one down to the special effects. Thomas Crown Affair was simply a better film 2nd time around... plus it had Rene Russo - now there's a MILF if ever I saw one...
