Park Life 71
why are so many people saying things like 2J has posted there ^ ? We held possession well, had 22 attempts on goal to swanseas 3, 9 corners to their 1 obviously the problem wasnt in chance creation (which is what we want to see HBA doing) but in just getting the goal, yet everyone says Ba played well (which he did bar scoring) We created some chances in the first half, although I wouldn't say many of them are what you could call 'clear cut' chances. For example, when we got beat off Blackpool at home last season, we created a lot of 'clear cut' chances and their keeper made some really good saves. I really don't remember that yesterday, and Ba made some of his chances out of nothing. After about 55 minutes, we went a bit flat and it was obvious that we needed a change in both personnel and style. Agree with that. Also Cabaye was too deep and it isn't the first time. When Tiote is playing Cabye has to be instructed to come late into the box when we have the ball in positive space. There was one cutback from Oberruns which was screaming for a late oncoming midfielder...

Lake Bells tits 1
Disagree, I thought Swansea looked pathetic and if there is one beatable side in this league its this one. 2 points missed. They've kept more clean sheets than anyone else in the league ya daft cunt. They were and are hard to break down. Can you look me straight in the eye and tell me that a team with 5 defeats and 2 draws out of their 7 away games is a team that is hard to break down? I guess we have a different perspective on what constitutes a difficult opponent in that case. They might be decent at home, but that is by no means the case away. You daft mong. We played well and couldn't break through, they've kept clean sheets against 7 clubs more than anyone else, and got exactly the same result against a team who spent £100m on players last year Liverpool. Routledge was awful yesterday, Obertan wasnt good but he had a better game than young Wayne. Swansea parked the bus though, whereas Obertan was riding with the wind in his back and still managed to look clueless. Not saying I thought Routledge was by any means better, but it was far from a knockout. Obertan is proper shit.

Lake Bells tits 1
Alright then I actually thought Routledge looked more interested in an otherwise very tame Swansea side, whereas Obertan was fucking up one after another of our attacks. Feel free to disagree though, its a forum after all But this match being the definitive proof of Obertan vs Routledge says more about our lowered expectations of obertan than anything else. Happy Face 29
didn't obertan supply the 'assist' for B.A.'s brilliant bicycle kick? he did one pacey sprint where he left everyone for dust too but his cross was just a bit too heavy, got caught out having a few too many touches occasionally but he did better just by virtue of the fact he won a few free kicks, that's all Gutierrez did for 2 years. OTF 7218
Jonas is better defensively and have - dare I say it - a better end product though Jonas' end product has improved of late. He's looking to get the ball in earlier as well it seems - off either foot. Wins us loads of corners, such a shame that we're literally not doing anything with them. For all the corners we had we didn't create any clear-cut chances from them. Should have changed out Cabaye from taking them just to mix it up for a bit. Ken 119
"Best defense in the league" being one of those facts after 11 rounds fishy? "Facts" can be used to prove anything, doesnt make it right. They have a lot of clean sheets as they have a brilliant keeper and sit low. Does that make them a good team? I didnt slate their defense or keeper did I? Just said they looked shite, with that I meant in terms of posing a threat. I think Swansea looked shite, and that is MY subjective opinion. YOU dont have to agree with ME. Actually, you said "if there is one beatable side in this league its this one", as Chez points out, regardless of their tactics, the fact that they've kept so many clean sheets indicates that, in fact, they are difficult to beat. Therefore, you're "spouting shite". and an away record of 2 draws and 5 losses prior to coming here is also a fact that points to them being....rather beatable? Therefore you are "spouting shite" Aren't you full up from all those cherries? Your point got lost in translation. In english please Fishy! You're cherry picking "facts" to suit your argument. A team that's kept the most clean sheets cannot be the easiest team in the league to beat. Certainly not when that team is sitting 12th. Well I have to be honest with you, i havent watched many of their games this season. I had a look at their away record, and felt they displayed a rather weak performance at St.James park. Norwich - by comparison - felt by large a better side, obviously hard to compare as that was away and with colo and tiote out - but still. They might not be THE easiest side, but of our games this season - I felt this was indeed one were we by far looked the better side. We didnt manage to score though - that being due to our inability to orchestrate an adequate attack or their ability to defend well - jury still out. Ironically in many of our games that is excactly what the other teams felt. We played shite and looked shite, but still came away with a point. I guess this time it was our turn to get "robbed". Shooting yourself in the foot with that comment. Swansea are a very well coached side who on Saturday showed a lot of respect for a good Newcastle team. Did you seriously expect them to play suicidal all-out-attack away from home? They are a small club with a small budget who were expected to go straight back down at the start of the season. Had you watched Swansea play even once or twice this season, particularly when they play at home you'd realise they are a decent team. They don't play this anti-football shite that Pulis, McCarthy and McLeish promote. They'll attack teams they think they can beat with possession style football that is pleasing on the eye. To do that with a squad of players who the majority had not played at Premiership level, some with barely enough Championship experience, and to pick up results by doing it that way should be commended.
