Back to winning ways. Would like to see Best get back on.

Why?

I just think he fitted in well during the first 10 games or so when we got to 3rd / 4th. I know he's not a world beater but he grafts and holds the ball up well bringing others in.

If we are without Tiote I would be extremely excited to see Abeid play. As someone has said though, it will probably be Smith.

Also hoping Fergie makes the bench.

He's so average its not true so I fail to see why anyone would want to see him play and after his little spell of scoring (well the Fulham game) he got worse and worse and we've anything but suffered from him not being in the team.

Our problem is clearly in midfield and defense at the moment so I see absolutely no need to bring Best in.

Ba's hat-trick against Stoke, his hat-trick against Blackburn, his goal against Wolves and the one against Spurs all came with Best on the pitch. Thats 8 of his 10 from open play. I'm not disagreeing with you on the whole but i do think Best's style of play is suited to Ba's.

Thats the way football is sometimes though, combinations just work for whatever reason.

He also got the two last week playing alongside Shola and the games that he's played alongside Ben Arfa have been against the best teams in the league so obviously it's more difficult to score against them.

You may have a point about them linking well but I don't think it necessarily follows.

Personally I think we need to get Ben Arfa playing and performing and against a team like Swansea I would say that it's the perfect opportunity.

They played well together against City and it nearly lead to two goals. Ba's chance in the first half from Ben Arfa's reverse pass and Ben Arfa's chance which Ba made a nice dummy run for to draw away the defenders in the second half.

I'd want to play Best to be honest. I think his hardwork will relieve some of the pressure that the defence will be under.

Ben Arfa Cabaye Abeid Jonas

Best Ba

It'll be Smith with Ben Arfa up front.

Abeid said he's starting on his facebook page apparently

In which case he should face a fine.

 the way you carry on you'd think you fucking hate our players.

Yeh someone might want to have a word with him. He's young he might not know what the rules are. No need for a fine though.

Really?

Would you care to expand on that?

Lets give our weaknesses away before the game

Every time Ranger tweets you basically call him a cunt, you have a dig at Danny Simpson more often than not and you want a to fine a kid for putting on his facebook that he might be starting.

I hardly think Brendan Rogers is going to be looking at the centre of the park and thinking "Oh now I know it's Abeid, I shall change all of my plans!" I'm guessing he will have had a plan to deal with any of the three likely options we were going to play.

I doubt he'll do it again.

I just hope Pardew doesn't see it and go "Mehdi, you've been a naughty boy. I'm going to punish you by playing Smithy in your place".

Think I might start a facebook account as Alan Smith claiming I'm playing every week. Problem solved.

To be fair though most of Danny Simpson's and Nile Ranger's tweets are utter shit. ;)

For the record I've never abused Danny Simpson on twitter - certainly not using his twitter handle anyway - and when I did it was in greards to the contract talks, i.e he needs to appreciate his position at a club like Newcastle because he isn't good enough to get a better one - true fact.

In regards to Ranger the lad is a massive tosser so I don't really care.

Also people should probably remember the stick Enrique got after revealing he was missing a match on twitter before getting all sanctimonious. ;)
