SloopJohn 0
Perch was magic last night. his distribution is fantastic now - played some really tidy one touch stuff - particularly near the end of the match
Ausman 0
For me Perch is a better midfielder than a defender.
ADP 0
I don't trust him as a full back, but as a centre half he can do a job so long as the opposition aren't worldies. Not ideal like but his versatility is generally a help rather than a hindrance when he is asked to play there. Agree though, i think his best position is DM. Gejon 2
Yeah he is definitely better in midfield but has has some impressive performances at centre back, would have him ahead of Williamson.

Most definitely, Williamson, I never want to see play for us again.
BigWalrus 0
Ben Arfa was double marked as soon as he got the ball. Even if he does nowt with it, the fact he kept two players busy is surely a big plus.
The Fish 10857
Not playing on Thursday night. NUFC drafting in a specialist to get to the bottom of it all.
Gemmill 44872
According to Lowes, he did an interview with Pardew last week and he reckons Pardew's main concern with HBA at the minute is mental. He reckons he's just not in the right place mentally with the injury.

Gemmill 44872
He didn't really expand on it, but that's what it sounded like. That his mental recovery from the injury was lagging behind his physical recovery.

Tooj 17
Afraid of getting clattered again? No as it's a hamstring injury. More about feeling confident enough to sprint.

I thank them for that" You obviously know more than Pardew does then.
Kid Dynamite 7027
So Colo going home when he is injured is bad, but Ben Arfa doing it is ok? It's unforgivable for a professional footballer to be missing games because he's not 'psychologically ready'
Ausman 0
I'd rather have a fully fit Ben Arfa playing than one that's not quite up to speed.

"I have to say his condition has disappointed me this week, and we will be working hard in the next few days to get him up to speed because he lacks a bit of fitness, for sure. Tooj 17
That was after he had been back home for a week or so and was ill though. So not when he had arrived back straight away when he was assessed, as I had mentioned to you last week. Yet for some reason you can't seem to comprehend the difference being a week between the quotes.
Tooj 17
Obviously your next counter argument will be to make something up like you did about him going MIA for a reserve when it was cleared by the club for him to fly to Tunisia.

Could it be that the first quote was a Pardew off the top of his head quote and the second one after a weeks training and realising what the actual situation was? The Fish 10857
Massive difference between wantaway player jetting home for weeks on end and player who's made no such demands repeating previous behaviour in getting treatment at Clairefontaine. "Unforgiveable" man. It's a bit ignorant, especially for one who works with people who suffer because of their mental issues.
Tooj 17
Could it be that the first quote was a Pardew off the top of his head quote and the second one after a weeks training and realising what the actual situation was? As I said he hadn't been training for a week though due to his illness. I'm sure the club assessed him initially upon his return. Would be unwise of them not to. Also on this occasion I can't blame Pardew for wanting to be over cautious with regards to his prized asset attacking wise. I'm sure he'd rather he were at 100% then the risk of him being out for longer. It might be frustrating in the short-term but if it'll be beneficial longer-term, exactly like we did when we fixed Marveaux's hip. Plus we all know how bad hamstring injuries can be for a player of his type so I don't want us to risk him. Although not sure why he played him last week, was he that desperate he had to risk him on an artificial surface?
