I'm firmly in the camp that the honing/melding of said talent/flair/genius into a position where it can flourish/express itself, is at the feet of Pardew.

Aye, that's a rather wordy way of saying that Pardew fills out the team sheet.

http://www.teamtalk....-not-that-good?

Oh dear doesn't even cover it

What's the point in the article? The lad's only just started getting a run in our team after a horrific injury and already we've seen several aspects of world class play, not just the goals against Bolton and Blackburn but some of the finishes cutting in from the right have been fantastic too, as well as his accuracy in passing, but more than anything else, the way the ball is stuck to his feet when he dribbles. Just let him carry on and then we'll start casting aspersions half way through next season

I could never be accused of being OOTist, but it's very easy to see why many people are. I guestimate that 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 toon fans on twitter and in life are from the North East, which means a majority aren't. These are the ones who talk the most shite. That's not to say people from the North East don't talk shite too. Some of our very best fans are OOT. This though is the classic example of a student from down South, who started supporting the toon when we were good, embarking on some journalism career, absolutely excruciatingly, painfully striving for an alternative view. It's fucking pathetic. Even ex students would admit this is the classic hallmark of a student. He's just scored one of THE best goals the stadium has ever seen, not long after two injuries which would've ended some players careers and he has to write something negative. What an arsehole. He's blocked me on twitter. Good.

Logged on here just to post that awful column, glad to see someone's beaten me to it.

Abysmal journalism. No-one is saying he's as good as Messi or even close. The guy has basically written a whole article just to argue against 1 or 2 excited Toon fans speaking in excited terms about Ben Arfa, and uses the article to bash us fans.

It's a shite article but he's clearly not a Newcastle fan.

Oh and you're one of the biggest anti OOTs around, Stevie. ;)

Some of the very best toon fans I've ever met are OOTs. I'm not OOTist, but I think in the same way foreigners need to fulfil certain conditions to become British citizens, OOTs should have similar criteria before I accept them. For instance if I didn't get a Cup Final ticket but Lake Bells Tits did on his first trip to England I'd be fucking livid.

Actually he is a Newcastle fan and is from the city according to the editor's comments.

Dyed in the wool mag from Southend.

Which in turn is a very basic way of saying 'i havent got a fucking scooby about what management actually means'.

What criteria would they have to fulfill? A written exam?

Might as well read the eulogy for humour while you're there champ ;)

Lets just give pardew credit for every single drible and man beat while we are at it, since everything ben arfa does out there is clearly

due to the brilliant approach to this french problem by our manager.

There is no way this would be achievable without a thorough ethos-cource done through half a year of ballwatching from the sidelines :)

HATEM BEN ARFA’S goal against Bolton was, for me, the goal of the season by a mile.

I was sitting at home watching it on TV and I just had to applaud. I would love to have scored a goal like that in my career!

The turn, the pace, the way Ben Arfa went past people like they weren’t even there, and then the finish, too, just capped it all off.

You won’t see a better goal for a long time. It was unbelievable. An absolute world-class effort.

You might say the defending was poor, but that goal had everything.

Defenders don’t like players running at them like that. They are terrified of it. And he made them pay.

What Alan Pardew has done there is scary. If they get into the Champions League – and they have a big, big chance – he is the manager of the season.

Every single one of his signings for the Magpies have been amazing. You compare that to Liverpool – and he’s done it for a fraction of the price!

Big clubs around the country will be asking their scouts: “Why didn’t we get these players?”

Good luck to Pards. He’s done a fantastic job and if he gets them into the top four, that would be a phenomenal achievement.

Paul Merson.

The initial turn was unstoppable, the bad defending occurred when their American centre-half, who had a shocker, just ran away scared of the approaching HBA. It was an incredible goal, but for me his FA cup effort vs blackburn beats it.

Nonsense.

One does not simply walk into Mordor, and yet against Bolton, that's exactly what he did.

When are YOU going to answer MY simple question?

I'll write the eulogy if you're writing the jokes.

You'd need someone to post about why a eulogy wasn't necessary first.
