Ayatollah Hermione 13859
Had a quick blast through The Chromatics last night and this morning and only 2 or 3 tracks jumped out at me. Maybe I need it on in the background when I'm sipping tea on a Zurich hotel balcony. Listening to Father John Misty, Dirty Projectors and Tallest Man on Earth today. I like the desperate rush to hear everything come the end of the year.

Happy Face 29
Just updating my 2012 grooveshark playlist and reminded myself of this from months and months ago.... Never got the album, might be a late addition if the rest of it matches up.
David Kelly 1244
I've not found a great deal that I've been massively impressed with this year. Usually I would find it difficult to narrow it down to a top twenty but this year it's a struggle to pick ten I've really enjoyed. It's not been helped that I've been in a shitty mood since I split with my lass a few months ago and I can't motivate myself to listen to anything new. Anyway my top ten would probably be; 10. XX - Coexist 9. Japandroids - Celebration Rock 8. Anais Mitchell - Young Man In America 7. Divine Fits - A Thing Called The Devine Fits 6. Tindersticks - The Something Rain 5. Chromatics - Kill For Love 4. Cat Power - Sun 3. Grizzly Bear - Shields 2. Liars - WIXIW 1. Godspeed You Black Emporer - Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! ADP 0
Liars WIXIW is the best album of this year like. Will do a list later. Also like Kendrick Lamar's offering.

The Jim Jones Revue - The Savage Heart Tom, did you know Jon Spencer Blues Explosion has new release, Meat & Bone, not sure about it on the first couple of listens. Nothing really comes to mind but these were worth the effort. David Kelly 1244
I think Alt J would be pretty high on my list had I listened to it more than a couple of times. I'm enjoying it very much.

colinh9 0
Kendrick Lamar's is a great bit of work. I'm a bit of a freak and could probably list about 50 albums I liked from this year. At some point I'll be getting around to doing that- not as if anyone cares. I'm a huge Jack White fanboy and I wouldn't put Blunderbuss in the top 50. No joke Edited December 24, 2012 by colinh9

Happy Face 29
Halfway through the year. What's people's thoughts? My top 13 for 2013 so far Colin Stetson - To See More Light Daft Punk - Random Access Memories David Bowie - The Next Day Disclosure - Settle Fuck Buttons - Slow Focus Ghosface Killah - Twelve Reasons To Die James Blake - Overgrown Kacey Musgraves - Same Trailer Different Park Ludovicio Einaudi - In A Time Lapse Parquet Courts - Light Up Gold Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of The City Villagers - {Awayland} Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Mosquito Was most surprised with Vampire Weekend. Thought I'd had enough of them after the last album. Was very satisfied with Villagers, Stetson and Einaudi, Blake, FBs and YYYs all maintaining quality which made their last albums great. Was delighted to see Ghostface, Bowie and Daft Punk back to their best after what could be considered lulls. ..and a few new artists to follow thanks to Chez and Meenzer. Cheers lads. Ayatollah Hermione 13859
Here's my current "Heard and Liked" list but, keeping in mind, I'm STILL struggling to get caught up since this year has been mental. Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of The City Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats - Mind Control Daft Punk - Random Access Memories The Knife - Shaking the Habitual Kurt Vile - Walkin on a Pretty Daze Jim James - Regions of Light and Sound Kanye West - Yeezus Justin Timberlake - 20/20 David Bowie - The Next Day William Tyler - Impossible Truth Disclosure - Settle (at least, half of it) Inc. - No World Vampire Weekend and Jim James jump out as my favourites with Yeezus growing on me with each listen. I think Disclosure runs out of steam halfway through but hopefully it clicks with me in time. My current "To-Listen" list: A$AP Rocky - Long Live A$AP Boards of Canada - Tomorrow’s Harvest Youth Lagoon - Wondrous Bughouse After Dark 2 Comp Colleen - The Weighing of The Heart Sam Amidon - Bright Sunny South Kyle Hall - Boat Party Autre Ne Veut - Anxiety Parquet Courts - Light Up Gold Villagers - Awayland Laura Marling - Once I Was An EagleThe Dear Hunter - Migrant Queens of the Stone Age - Like Clockwork Hopefully I'll have rattled through them in the next week. Anything I should just avoid?
