Excuse my thickness, but how do you get the full coordinates for a location ? when I quote the pointer coordinates it doesn't recognise them and appear 2 digits to short ?

You've probably got your settings on Degrees, Minutes and Seconds rather than just Degrees.

 

Go Tools > Options and change that Lat/Lon in the Rendering section to Degrees...
