StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Celtic and Rangers teams are no more than Championship quality at best and the rest would struggle to compete in League 1 and 2 Couldn't agree more. Hand on heart I don't think both would necessarily be promoted with their current teams. Boro got their best players and they were all shite in the CCC, look at Kris Boyd record SPL goalscorer of all time, he was in the Championship nearly 2 years and scored 10 goals. Exactly, even the best SPL players only get bought by Championship teams and then if a Premiership team buys them, its normally a team whos knocking round the lower end of the table. They only even sign Championship players and players who are struggling to get into Prem teams. Barry Robson, Boyd, Commons, Caldwell, Miller, Hooper, Goodwillie, MacDonald, Bougherra etc Edit: Have you seen their recent records in Europe aswell? It's shocking, the teams they are getting beat off are laughable. Edited November 24, 2011 by StoneColdStephenIreland

Kitman 2207
I'd like to think this is bullshit. More likely his agent is trying to apply leverage to get the deal with Celtic signed, by leaking a non-existent interest. Hopefully.
Monroe Transfer 0
Good news I guess. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11787/7349765/New-Celtic-deal-for-Brown Celtic captain Scott Brown has expressed his delight after signing a new contract to keep him at the club until the summer of 2015. The midfielder, 26, has been at Parkhead for four-and-a-half years after arriving from Hibernian, and has established himself as a key player. Brown's deal had been set to expire at the end of the current campaign, but he has now agreed fresh terms to commit his long-term future to the Bhoys. The new contract also includes the option of a further year and Brown is thrilled to be staying at Celtic. "I am absolutely delighted to sign this new contract with Celtic and commit my future to the club," he told the club's official website. "I'm pleased that this is now all sorted and now I just want to get on with the job in hand." The Scotland international added: "I'm happy to be back from injury and I now want to just concentrate on the challenges which face us this season domestically and in Europe as we try to bring our fans some success. Thanks "I would like to thank our supporters for the great backing they have given the club during the course of the season already. "As always, they have been magnificent and I know the manager and all the players are totally focused on doing everything we can to achieve as much as we possibly can this season for our fans." Celtic manager Neil Lennon was also understandably overjoyed to secure the services of such an important player. Lennon said: "Scott is a crucial member of our squad and someone we felt it was very important to keep at the club. "He is a special player and his commitment, drive and all-round ability is something we feel is very important to us." "I'm pleased we've been able to finalise this and I would like to thank Scott's representatives for their assistance in bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion."
