jaythesouthernmag 0
So it's a year tomorrow since the club made the inspired decision to bring in Alan Pardew as our manager and what a great decision it's turned out to be, he's been fantastic and while a large portion of the fans were upset to see Hughton leave it has to be said that with hindsight it was a cracking decision. Fingers crossed he can build on the good work he's done and help us achieve our aim of European qualification this season. Well done Pards. I was sceptical about him but he's won me round. It can't be easy working for Ashley but he's surpassed expectations. I hope fatty doesn't do anymore to fuck things up. New contract for Collo, A CB and Striker in and no significant outs and I'm positive about a decent finish
trophyshy 7084
Not if my personality contained humility and wisdom, no. well, my views of the old board contained wisdom, and still do, but unfortunately because people still can't accept favourable comments of the old owners, I get flak and/or the comments of "spouting bollocks" continue, because its me saying what I say. I really can't do anything about that. When I make posts about the 70's and players, for instance, people say they are good posts, but when I make posts about the 70's and 80's owners in conjunction of how our fortunes changed from 1992, people refuse to accept it. Do you understand why this is so ? Because in my view, there is no difference whatsoever. Our fortunes changed from 1992 BECAUSE of the massively superior owners, and our fortunes now are declining again because of the inferior owner. I really don't see the difference, other than it being a personality hatred thing and a refusal to accept the facts. And what of humility, how can you use that concept to beat the same drum? Credit to how he's handled Santon too without any unrest from the player.

Don't get me wrong, I'm quite happy to tell them in response how incorrect and ignorant they have been, because the simple fact is I'm saying nothing different to what I've said for years anyway. If Mike Ashley isn't using NUFC as a vehicle for Sports Direct, and doesn't harbour the same on the field ambitions that were taken for granted under the old regime, who is talking bollocks ? So you tell me why people say I'm still talking bollocks ? Also tell me why people advocate my banning and moderation, when its OK for them to say what they want ? Their hypocrisy is staggering. trophyshy 7084
Who is telling you you are talking bollocks regarding the club? One or two perhaps but those people are argued with by many others. As far as I can see almost every single criticism is about your attitude, your slagging other posters, the way you say things ( i.e. personality) rather than your opinions. You've totally missed my point anyway, which was about rising above things and being the bigger man, demonstrating genuine wisdom and humility, not flash in the pan stuff. In the spirit of Christmas, good will to all men, I challenge you to be the bigger man and let all this go, once and for all. In the spirit of Christmas, good will to all men, I challenge you to be the bigger man and let all this go, once and for all. of course I could to that, but there are a lot of posters who I engage with, that simply don't answer or respond to me. You know the reason why, and the latest is Baggio. I've literally posted my views hundreds of times in constructive ways, and people still dispute the main points I made ages ago. It isn't about being the "bigger man", I just point out the facts and people end up either not listening [because they don't want to] or just say I'm spouting bollocks because they can't take the truth. FWIW, if you haven't noticed, I'm not on here so often, but people still can't take a detached view and put aside their personality hatred and irrational views. As its Xmas, it would be canny if everybody entered into the spirit of things, but don't hold your breath that certain people will still retain their own one-dimensional views even if I do ignore them which I will try and do during my less frequent visits. If you still believe in Santa Claus at 38, who am I to argue Anyway, I'll leave this thread for a while as trophyshy has suggested, but I'm willing to bet that certain people don't respond to my posts and questions, especially Baggy, and also that Baggy disappears from this thread when his prediction bites the dust just like Dennis Wise did, after he supported Wise over Keegan. LeazesMag 0
Well done mate, knew you had it in you. Happy Christmas one and all! I've tried this before, but people still churn out the same insults and hypocrisies, and don't answer genuine questions based on facts. Anyway, I've always called a spade a spade, which is why I've been getting these insults for the past 5 years and more, I called the old board, and Mike Ashley, correctly and people just don't like it etc but I'll give it another go. Who do you suggest I ignore ? I know who I think spouts garbage, but who should I ignore, and who should I try to continue to debate with logically ? Baggio 0
It's going to be a tough game tomorrow, with a few injuries to the spine of the team I can see us coming under pressure for portions of the game so lets hope some of the squad can step up like Guthrie did. 1-1. Ken 119
Everton are the team to watch. For what reason? I just think they're a good team that is missing a goalscorer, I also think they've benefited from not having a large turnover of players in the starting 11 in recent years, it's helped them keep a good understanding on the pitch. If you look at their fixtures coming up they're all winnable until the new year apart from a visit to the Emirates, they seem to have had a tough start in terms of fixtures. Christ it took me an age to find this. Couldn't remember which thread it was in. At least I remembered but anyway; Everton have a thin squad, and it is an aging one - more than half the first team are over 30. The fixtures are coming thick and fast, they won't be getting many wins. Of course I've had the benefit of hindsight since you posted about the topic and Everton failed to win against Norwich. They will be relegation battlers soon enough - like the days of Howard Kendell. I give it two years. Most of their current players, because of their age have no re-sale value, and punting on players with obscure names from obscure leagues will come back to bite them. Other than that they have no source of finance. Fulham and Sunderland will overtake them in the league this season. Everton would have done well to finish in the top half to be truthful. I'm genuinely surprised that Everton haven't turned it around because they were playing good football against the better teams including against us, they've just lacked that threat up front which I thought would have come for them against the easier teams, saying that they're 10 points behind with a game in hand (away to Spurs which won't be easy) and they do usually come on stronger as the season goes on. I think they've blown it though with the winnable games they've had recently and have been replaced by Stoke as rivals for top 7 and their 'brand' of football. Lake Bells tits 1
We had good posession in the midfield, but I felt the space between the midfield and the strikers were too large. We were lulled into thinking we were "unlucky with our chances" due to Ba converting some half-chances into nearly`s , aside from that I think we looked a bit headless up front.
