Disaster. :glare:

Can anyone explain to me why that stutter-step penalty is legal? Sickens me every time I see it. Just stand up, be a man, and shoot.

Doubt R. Taylor will emerge for the second half. Shame, we were doing quite well. Oh well - I didn't expect anything from this game either way.

Hes been enjoying the downhill dream run along with the rest of the team, and I think everyone deep down knew he was bound to blow up at some point. We have gotten away with alot of sloppy play this season, now we get punished for it by a team that actually knows how to score a fucking goal. Honestly, there has been numerous shocking bloopers in other games as well, its just been forgotten since everyone suddenly stopping scoring on Krul.

Ryans been class this season so im not gonna slag him off totally, but it isn't out of place to say he's had an absolute shocker so far, we really need the defence to be switched on today and he just isn't in key with the other 3.

Still, we've been a 2nd half team so far this season, and always had the luxury of going into the break in the lead/level. This will be the real test to see how we can react to the worst case scenario

We'll see what Pardew does in this half and the next game then.

The mistakes he's made for their goals don't equal bad defending, by the way. I'm sure your man Santon might make the same mistakes too.

Can't agree there like. Turning his back on the ball was terrible and so was extending his arms to defend a shot. Basic stuff. Like you said, it doesn't mean that Santon is going to somehow be magically better, but Ryan Taylor isn't a good defender and hasn't ever really been. He's had a bit of a charmed life this season with Jonas shielding him but against a superior attacking side like City it was always going to show.

Context of that line was mistyped by myself. I meant his mistakes don't equal a bad defender. and that Santon might make the same mistakes as well even though he might be a superior defender. He's not great but I think some are being harsh, especially as it's not his natural position.
