Jimbo 172 Posted December 25, 2005 Share Posted December 25, 2005 I've got one, I like it but then again I like Playstation games, some people prefer Nintendo games and would recommend a Nintendo DS instead, usual price for a PSP is £179, you can put MP3's on it, you can download movies from the net to play on them or convert DVD's to MP4 movie format and play on them, Games are around £30, however you hack a PSP and download games from the internet or buy game discs from ebay with a number of games on. To get the most out of a PSP you need to invest in a large memory card for it, it comes with a 32meg card as standard, you really need to looking at a card 512meg and over. luckypierre 0 Posted December 26, 2005 Share Posted December 26, 2005 (edited) I'd say no. 6 months ago I would have said yes and use it for a cheap media player but the cost of those is coming down so much I wouldnt now (just seen an archos media player with a screen 3 times as big and a 100gb harddrive for £380). Its actually losing a lot of support as software sales have been so poor so far so your not going to see much in the way of original titles. All the devs are having to spend a lot of money getting into the next gen of home consoles with the 360 and ps3 that it just isnt viable to have another expensive platform to develop for. To put it into perspective for £30 more you could have an xbox 360 so whats the point... Unless you really want those cut down versions of your PS2 games kind of on the go. First week in the states and i go round to meet the six coaches who are sharing a house together in the next town. All canny lads and i pretty much spent most of my time in connecticut with them. After a week some 30 year old cockney turns up on the doorstep with a bag and says 'i lived here last year, come to see some people i know up here so its ok to doss on your couch yeah'......and promptly sits down. Understandably the lads were a bit pissed, he could have been anyone, just invites himself in and steals their food for a week! after about 5 days hes still there and they all decide to tell him to fuck off when they get back form coaching. They get back that night and hes already left a note saying 'cheers, bye' On my way to the car late rthat night i spot a carry case on the floor with said psp inside. go to the house next door and ask if its their kids and they say no. take it into the coaches who fall about laughing saying the cockney had told them hed had his nicked a couple of days ago when it had obviously just fallen under his car and it serves him right. Now me being a kind hearted person decides to try and get in touch with this guy to get it back to him as its brand new and its a bit harsh. I gets home that night and one of the coaches texts me saying 'ha ha, finders keepers.' the twat went into my car when i was in the bog and took it out saying i must be daft to give it back to him and hes keeping it now. One quick threat of physical violence later and hes says he cant give it back to me cos hes dropped it and its smashed so he guesses no one is getting it now!............... ANYWAY....... a couple of months later, im walking past his bedroom and spot it, in full working order so back to mine it goes, by this time the cockney is long gone to god knows where so ..... free PSP! How do you know wes? Was he still obsessing over Brei when you met him! he paid $500 to fly from FL to CT on his week off to live in a strangers house so he could spend 3 hours a day with a lass who already had a boyfriend.
