Tom 14011
When I was walking out there was two blue dippers saying "ey we desehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhved a point there.", I think he was wrong, they deserved to win, another shabby performance but another win. The midfield exposed just how weak we are in term of the squad, it was like we had no centre midfield in the second half, outplayed, out thought and so very lucky they don't have a good striker. Drenthe surely made a big impression on people in the first half, we need to get this player if we can. Think Drenthe would be suited to a free role behind the striker. We could play him there when we sell Ben Arfa Their finishing was so poor they didn't deserve anything - chances are one thing - goals are another. Guest alex
I thought we deserved the win for our 2nd half resilience. I'm not fucking bothered whether we deserved to win or not though to be perfectly honest.
Tom 14011
Same here - We've had our fair share of utterly shit luck over the years so I don't mind how the win comes. It seemed they were getting the rub of the green in the second half it felt like everything was bouncing to them!
manc-mag 1
You get the luck of the green more if you try harder. We're just trying harder. Champion tbh.
Guest alex
Aye, I know it's a cliche but you largely earn your 'luck', so to speak.
Tom 14011
I thought the closing down was again - utterly class. Ba chasing down Howard started gave us the throw in the second goal eventually came from. It's great to see a forward line constantly pressing because we've been so used to lazy as fuck players who let the game pass them by unless we've got the ball. McFaul 35
Be funny after Enrique's comments after he left as well. Fucking hate 'King Kenny' anarl. Which specific comment? At the time it did look like step up from where we were. Weren't you furious with him at the time? Aye dummy flew out the pram, was just gutted it was to them cunts tbh. Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
I know it's a cliche, but you make your own luck. The more we practice, the luckier we get. You can create chances, but the ball has to go between the posts into the net for it to be a goal. Game of two halves. Rub of the green. A win's a win. ajax_andy 0
Not been on a PC much the last few days but now I am just thought I'd say well done to the Toon on their win. Once we gave you a 2 goal headstart it was always going to be a massive challenge to get anything out of the game. I really hope you start losing soon or Pardew might end up England manager! Yeah we were poor I thought, still you'll take a scruffy win. I think if we played that game another five times we wouldn't play that badly, and hopefully Cabaye wouldn't get injured. ajax_andy 0
scruffy wins are the things that make champions i agree thought we were poor and Everton deserved something from it, Same old story for us... play ok, should get something out of the game but dont... We need a new striker as Saha is rubbish. If he got his head up occasionally and played a team mate in it would help, but all he does is just shoot almost every time he has it. Still it's up to the rest of the team to chip in as well, as with the Toon and people like Ryan Taylor. You got in front and held on, might not have been pretty but its a win non the less and its those types of games that teams in the top 5 or 6 places need to win to stay up there... winning when playing badly isn't a bad habit to have.
