And yet if I shut my mouth and breathe through my nose intentionally, I get slightly panicky and have to breathe through my mouth again Of course there are occasions when you just have to breathe through your nose Yes, thats right *starts car, bent double* Apparently you only ever breathe through one nostril at a time. catmag 337 Posted October 27, 2011 Share Posted October 27, 2011 I have one side of my nose blocked permanently and its been like that since I was a kid which means I breathe through my mouth a lot of the time. I need a septoplasty but have seen far too many of them done, and frankly the thought of them chiselling up my nose with a hammer is something I don't really fancy.
