I don't give a stuff if you're legitimately in front of me because I arrived after you, i'll wait for a gap and go round you safely.

but when you cruise to the top of the queue past me or beside me if i'm already at the top then you deserve to be knocked into the pavement for being a knob and not obeying the rules of the road (that goes for motorbikes and all).

I am using the rules of the road. I will go along safely and get to the front of the queue where I can wait. Why do you think they have now placed big Cycle wait places at the lights? No need to sulk because you cant do the same and overtake traffic and get to the front Its the advantage of a bike lad. I dont do it in moving traffic only when safe.

Creating your own fecking mini lane either between two cars or between a car and a kerb is not using the rules of the road, its distinctly the opposite and those lights with the bike bit attached to them generally have cycle lanes nearby, or actually at the light itself in which case i don't care.

 

It's not safe at all when i've some squishy lycra clad gimp wobbling beside me in a foot of space between a kerb and my car and i've to watch out for him.

If i clipped you doing that, whose likely to get grief? me which is my main complaint.

 

if it wasn't going to be my problem, like it shouldn't i couldn't care less if i clipped you/you fell off and your insurance had to cover the damage to my car caused by the risk you've undertaken and laws you've broken.

 

we have tons of bad drivers, who still manage to pass the test and get a license, but if ya wanna ride a bike along the same roads doing the same things, ya just hop on one, so no doubt there is plenty who #1 couldn't pass the driving test so opt'd for a bike, #2 couldn't pass the bike test if there ever was such a thing.

 

(no sympathy at all for them since some prick on a bike came round bedford street in town through some lights towards me when i was crossing the road, i'd no choice but to turn and put my shoulder down and hope for the best, he went flying, his bike under a car across the road...was lucky it wasn't an old person or they'd have been wiped out, actually had the cheek to get up and try mouthing off till some passby pointed out he came through a light when the crossing signal was up)

 

I agree there should be some test, but its evident that a driving test me fuck all to the silly cunts in cars, trucks and vans mate. The silly bastards who dont use their mirrors or indicators, who go through amber and red and who lane jump etc. So you point is moot tbh. If their a prick, well, theyll get through the test an just cycle how they wanna cycle. There should be a test on cycling in traffic however, how to spot silly cunts who dont indicate, how to anticipate silly cunts on their mobiles and most importantly how now to go through red or go on the pavement.

 

Now, if I want to cycle between stationary traffic or alongside slow moving traffic then tough shite. I am allowed to, I do so when safe and if there isnt room I wait. Dont get the tit on because youre sat in traffic scratching your nuts.

He/She is another road user, tough shite if you have to slow down and pass when you can. You would get grief if you clipped them. However, if you are talking about someone squeezing past you then yes, its the cyclist fault, but why are you driving like a cunt in the gutter? Didnt you pass a test?

Another thing that pisses me off is when some twat rings me at work trying to sell me something, I extend him/her the courtesy of taking the call and listening to their patter and as soon as they come to the conclusion that they are getting fuck all from me they just hang up! Cheeky fuckers.

I couldnt agree any more. BUT In stationary traffic or slow moving traffic, when safe to do so, whats the problem going to the front if done in a safe manner? Nothing IMO. Its when dicks try squeeze past and in doing so they cant correctly cycle, then yes, they need shooting. BUT if there is enough room then fine. Whats the issue? Beefing because your stuck in traffic?

 

At the end of the day there are dicks in cars and dicks on bikes. However the attutude here is different to other areas of Europe. We (cyclists) are seen as a nuisance on the road even though we are a road user like you in your car. Their does need to be some education for both parties IMO. A cyclist this morning for example. I over took him and when the road started to merge into one lane I slowed and took my position behind a bus. The bloke I over took got inpatient, squeezed past the bus and then went through a red. That IMO should be hanging offence!

 

Now, after the lights changed and traffic started moving, some bell end in car got impatient with me. He then went to overtake me, realised I was actually doing a fair speed and I was crossing in front of where he had to turn left, so had to slow right down and then swing left. I didnt slow him down at all, if the cock had been patient and waited ooooooo all of 1 minute he wouldnt of had to slam on and swing making himself look a cunt.

 

So them two incidents in one commute, a car and a bike. Now, on my way home there is one stretch where drivers sit in the cycle lane. Whats your take on that? They do it because they see the road as wide enough to take two cars, even though its a one lane road, "bah, fuck the cycle lane"
