1962 - Where were you or your family in life?

My parents got married and then had my older brother 6 months later - you don't need to do the maths, it's obvious.

They lived in Gosford Rd, Adamstown, Newcastle, NSW.

The old man was a clerk for the local Newcastle co-op, imaginatively called The Store.

He loved Elvis (the highlight of his musical taste) and didn't like the Beatles (not even close to the lowest point of his musical taste)!

I wasn't even a twinkle in their eyes.

What the fuck is this horseshit? My dad was 14, my mam was 13. I can't imagine they were doing anything too exciting.

I was trying to make sure Leazes, Rob and Noelie didn't feel left out.

You're a bad man Scott.

I was on the fucking phone to Krushchev and Kennedy diffusing the Cuban missile crisis. FFS, these threads are shit. What next? What were you doing in 1981? Or 1976? Or 1763? This is a slippery slope to the tedious nostalgia that has provided that cunt Justin Lee Collins with a career. Next thread will be 'Ooo arr what is your favourite 80's Grange Hill character?' or 'do you remember Manimal?'
