McFaul 35
Back To The Future Indiana Jones Ghostbusters E.T. Beverly Hills Cop Naked Gun Airplane Die Hard Crocodile Dundee (loved it as a kid) (and I expect stick for this) Top Gun But Back To The Future is clearly the best. One of my mates openly spreads the word that top gun is his favourite film. I don't think he has picked up on the subtle themes running through the film Stopped reading at the mate bit I'm afraid....Dr Lonely plural too
McFaul 35
Another tremendous 80s film is that one where Stallone is locked up, and his wife comes in the guards say they can have 30 minutes for a shag and they change their mind 30 seconds later, can't remember what it's called. Big scene in the yard with them playing yank football in the yard. Edited October 12, 2011 by McFaul

Monkeys Fist 42484
Haven't read the thread, but I'll add; Raging Bull Scarface The Elephant Man Bladerunner Blood Simple Full Metal Jacket Mississippi Burning Once upon a Time in America ( takes as long to type it as watch it!) Mona Lisa Platoon Edit; And I know it was made in '79, but I didn't see it til a few years later, so I'm having Apocalypse Now. Bonamental 0
Speaking of which, Midnight Run is mint. There are vague rumours of a sequel with De Niro chasing Grodin's son or something along those lines.

Guest alex
Aye AA, Bladerunner is one of my all time faves too. Also one of my favourite cheesy punning barber shop names I hope the Midnight Run sequel never comes about. JWTBH. And whilst we're on the subject of Stallone, has anyone mentioned Over the Top? McFaul 35
People calling movies "shows" gets on my tits. I use films more than shows, "a canny show" is Tyneside WMC crack as opposed to yank. What's better?

I use films more than shows, "a canny show" is Tyneside WMC crack as opposed to yank. What's better? I worked in a WMC. We served root beer and the patrons loved a good movie. I wouldn't base my idea of a good vocabulary on what I heard in that place though.
