Ugly Mackems 133
Let's say she'll make $10-20 million from all the above mentioned. Would anyone here do 4 years inside if you knew you were going to get £ 5-10 million at the end? They weren't cleared of all charges and 3 year sentences for lesser charges still stood. The judge said 'acquitted of A,B,C,D' Probably the eyeties protecting themselves from massive compo claims by leaving charges standing.

PaddockLad 17290
Let's say she'll make $10-20 million from all the above mentioned. Would anyone here do 4 years inside if you knew you were going to get £ 5-10 million at the end? They weren't cleared of all charges and 3 year sentences for lesser charges still stood. The judge said 'acquitted of A,B,C,D' Probably the eyeties protecting themselves from massive compo claims by leaving charges standing. She was also told she must pay Patrick Lumumba the £18 000 he was awarded at the original trial after he was ultimately released without charge during the original investigation after Knox had falsely accused him of being involved. http://duncangibbins.co.uk/news/amanda-kno...ation-set-free/ Rudy Guede was convicted of being an accomplice to the murder...which does rather beg the question an accomplice to who?....Meredith Kercher's body had 47 different stab wounds from two different weapons. He's up there with Jack the Ripper if he did all that on his own. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2...15875-23466103/ Theres loads of qustions left unanswered in this. The conviction was obviously unsafe, but the appeal verdict isnt very satisfsctory either due to all these issues that arise from a flat "not guilty" verdict. Dont know if its unique, but the Scottish legal system has 3 possible verdicts at a muder trail...guilty, not guilty and "not proven"....which, as far as I can make out means "you're as guilty as shit but theres no eveidence to prove it" I think I'd go with that. The offences stay "live", and if other evidence coming to light defendants are re-tried.
NJS 4389
I read a few articles which did make it seem like an unsafe conviction but I also read what the family said about the 47 wounds and 2 knives - that puts it back in the whole "dodgy as fuck" category. Monroe Transfer 0
Italian judge said she was probably guilty but they couldn't prove it. No he didn't. Why make stuff up? http://uk.reuters.com/article/2011/10/06/u...E79556F20111006 The Italian judge who presided over Amanda Knox's murder appeal has told local media the American student may have been guilty but had to be acquitted because of doubts over evidence linking her to the killing of Meredith Kercher in 2007. Knox, 24, flew home to a hero's welcome in Seattle on the U.S. west coast on Tuesday after an appeals court in the Italian city of Perugia overturned her 2009 conviction for the murder of her British roommate. "They're free for not having committed the crime," Judge Claudio Pratillo Hellmann told the daily La Stampa. "But this is the truth in court, not the real truth. And that could be different." He told the daily Corriere della Sera: "They could have been responsible but there is no proof. Perhaps they knew what happened that night. We do not know." Hellmann was one of an eight-member panel of lay and professional judges who on Monday acquitted Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, of the murder. The acquittal raised more questions than answers about who committed the crime, and prosecutors have said they will appeal to reverse the verdict. Rudy Guede, an Ivorian drifter who was found guilty and sentenced to 16 years in a separate trial, is now the only person serving time for the murder, although prosecutors say he could not have killed Kercher by himself. Her half-naked body was found with over 40 wounds and a deep gash in the throat, and prosecutors say the lack of signs of struggle on her body show her assailants pinned her down while another stabbed her in the neck. "May", "Perhaps" and "Could" do not equal "Probably".

Park Life 71
She looks guilty. My guess is she was in the room when the girl died as she said in her ORIGINAL statement.
