Kevin Carr's Gloves 3983
He's a very good keeper, yes. But there are better. I don't think he's in the same league as Given. I agree. But whereas Given is a fantastic shot-stopper, he's never been dominating his penalty area, he prefers to stay on the line. Krul is showing signs of developing into that keeper who really dominates the penalty area as well as being a great shot-stopper. I agree to an extent but I'm still to be totally convinced with regards to him dealing with crosses. Been years since we've had a keeper who is totally commanding in the air. Tim had a bloody good game on Saturday. Adrian Durham has been saying Sczezny is the best but he is a cock like. Adrian Durham says anything to court controversy tbh. He's the ultimate cunt. Haven't seen him do anything to warrant the amount of wanking the pundits do over him other than that penalty save the other week. Apart from that he picked more out of the back of the net than the average trawlerman.

Bonamental 0
He has matured into the player we all knew he could become since that night in Sicily. I don't think we'll face a fight to hang on to him in the short term (that is, if Fat Mike wants to hang on to him ). Where would he go? Man U have just bought two new keepers, Chelsea have Cech, City have Hart, Liverpool have Reina, and Arsenal are in crisis, especially if Wenger eventually goes. European clubs. He's very young by keeper standards, he's got international pedigree, seems to have a lot of self-confidence (although he's still a bit hesitant at times). As a keeper he's got all the right attributes. Why would he go though? He's just become number 1 for the team he's been at for years, playing in the "best league in the world ©" and he seems switched on enough to know that what he needs now is consistent game time, which he might not get elsewhere. Plus its now been proved to him he doesn't have to leave to get in the Dutch team, so I don't see why he'd have any motivation (bar money) to leave. Anyone have an idea what he is on? DragonFilet 0
on current form, he's up there. but he's got to do it consistently. he's a great shot stopper, excellent reflexes and he's still young so should only get better. i'm not convinced he's the best at coming for crosses and his kicking hasn't always been the greatest. i'd still put czech, given and hart above him....for now. He's also a number of years away from his peak, so yeah, for now he's probably not as good.
StevenL 0
I'm a fan of Szczesny. Shame about Walkers goal yesterday, I could defend him and say it was unexpected that he'd shoot from there, but he really should have done better with the shot. I dunno, take a look at the view of the goal from behind Walker. It's going fairly straight and Shzzznznnznnznzy seems to have it covered, then it moves significantly in the air. While I don't rate him on the whole, some of the criticism for that shot is a bit harsh.
Barney 0
Just saw a replay of Vdv's goal and it looks like he was positioned too close to the near post for that one.

Tooj 17
That video not only shows his ability at stopping shots, but also at how good his distribution is. Something Krul needs to work on without a doubt. One thing that's impressed me most about Krul this season is his command of the box. An area he previously looked shaky in, he's massively improved on that front.

toonotl 3116
Krul's kicking and distribution in general has improved recently. He is a brilliant shot stopper and his command of the area has also improved. He has made only made one mistake for a goal earlier in the season by coming off his line when he shouldn't have, can't remember who against though. It was that flat free kick from 45 yards where he came halfway stopped and ended up in no man's land when the opposition attacker looped a header over him. Apart from that he has not made any mistakes of note and improved the two main weaknesses of his game. He was good last year, he has improved this year, he is very young and will probably continue to improve. There's no reason he can't become the best in the league in years to come. At the moment though there are a few ahead of him. Not many though.

I said "he is the best keeper they have had since Seaman". Including Lehman. Lots of things don't "have much competition" lad. Getting your rocks off at being 3rd in the league after 7 games is better associated with a 10 year old too. He is more likely to prove a better keeper than Lehman, than NUFC are to finish 3rd this season, or anywhere near it.
