Love's Thai Restaurant

Went to Love's Thai with the missus a couple of weeks back and have to say that it was a rubbish experience!

Ordered a soup and a main course, the missus ordered spare ribs and a main... about 10 mins later the dishes arrived all together?! i.e. starters AND mains?!

We asked the waiter what was going on and why we had received them all at the same time... he just shrugged, said thats how it was and walked off.

I ended up wolfing down my soup so the main course wouldn't go cold, which unfortunately made me very full very quickly due to the speed I was eating at, and then the main course whilst ok wasn't anything to write home about.

To put things in context we had an hour and a half to kill before going to the cinema and from being seated to finishing our meals (we left about half of our main course as we were too full of wolfing down the starters) took a a grand total of 25 minutes... 25 minutes?!!! I could take longer in KFC!

Overall service was shite, it REALLY bright in there and not good for a romantic meal, then again if you're in and out in 25 minutes you can't really have a romantic meal anyway.

The wife complained to the waitress who gave us a free drink each but in all honesty the whole experience was farcical.

We occasionaly go to a Thai restaurant in Durham called Zen where the food is outstanding... here it was just "ok" and everything else awful.

If anyone is thinking of going here then I'd strongly recommend not doing so.

Sounds authentic. In some places in Thailand people will be finishing their food before another member of the group has been served.
