Park Life 71
Inter Milan have sacked coach Gian Piero Gasperini after just five matches and three months in charge. The former Genoa manager, 53, lost four games, taking just a point from Roma, and his side sit 17th in Serie A. His last match was a disastrous 3-1 defeat on Tuesday by Novara, who were only promoted last season. Inter also lost 1-0 to Trabzonspor at the San Siro in the Champions League and were beaten by AC Milan in the Italian Super Cup in August. Gasperini was a replacement for Leonardo, who is now at Paris Saint-Germain. Edited September 21, 2011 by Park Life
Guest alex
Saw a bit of the Novara match (who?) and Inter were all over the shop at the back.
Brock Manson 0
Jesus! Hiring Benitez seems to have allowed the rest of Serie A to catch up to them tbh.
hostile_statue 0
Yesterday's defeat was the final nail in the coffin. You can't play with 3 defenders in 2011. Is there any example of a team that pulls it off today? Don't think so. Gasperini was way off base.

Tom 14013
Saw a bit of the Novara match (who?) and Inter were all over the shop at the back. Novara have just been promoted after a 50 odd year absence from Serie A - basically they've pretty much bypassed the golden era's of Italian football. Inter have had a poor start but you'd still expect them to beat a newly promoted team quite comfortably & as the reverse happened I suppose you can understand why the coach has been sacked! Both Milan & Inter have had poor starts although Milan have a game in hand unfortunately for them it's against Udinese!
