Park Life 71 Posted September 21, 2011 Share Posted September 21, 2011 (edited) Inter Milan have sacked coach Gian Piero Gasperini after just five matches and three months in charge. The former Genoa manager, 53, lost four games, taking just a point from Roma, and his side sit 17th in Serie A. His last match was a disastrous 3-1 defeat on Tuesday by Novara, who were only promoted last season. Inter also lost 1-0 to Trabzonspor at the San Siro in the Champions League and were beaten by AC Milan in the Italian Super Cup in August. Novara have just been promoted after a 50 odd year absence from Serie A - basically they've pretty much bypassed the golden era's of Italian football. Inter have had a poor start but you'd still expect them to beat a newly promoted team quite comfortably & as the reverse happened I suppose you can understand why the coach has been sacked!
