Monroe Transfer 0
The only comparison worth making is that Best is better than Carroll.

Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
The 2nd against Fulham was well taken, a good opportunistic finish on the back of atrocious defending. It travelled past 3 Fulham players along the floor in their box, and it was particularly bad from the player marking Best. He'd allowed Best to get goalside of him and then still didn't clear the ball even though it was played behind Best. Any competent defence would have cleared it. David Kelly 1217
I agree with DK about the 2nd Fulham goal tbh. Well taken, aye but poor defending. I reckon Ba just lashed it too. Certainly looked like that. I thought it was a pass at the time like but I'm still in the Ba might yet be in a goo player camp as oppose to being (obviously) in the Best is shite camp

It was a poor pass even more poorly dealt with.
StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Anyone seen the poll on the Chronicle website debating whether he should be given the number 9 shirt Also when he gets the ball between the half way line and the oppositions penalty box he doesnt kna what to dee with the ball half the time and just ends up running until he gets tackled and not passing the ball when he should have, or passing the ball to another team mate when there were better options available and killing the momen. But hats off to him getting the goals, he deserves the run in the team alot more than any of our other strikers
ChezGiven 0
How you can claim Ba didn't mean to pass it to Best is beyond me. It was a pass and it found the man. What did he not mean?
sniffer 0
Watch it. Cleary just hit hard and low and Best did well because it was behind him as well. Into the general area but that's all.

It was a ball that should and would have been cleared by a competent defence.

Have watched it but you need to think about it. If Ba has hit the ball into a general area where one of our players is we HAVE to assume he was aiming for the only player in the area. I'm not extending the logic any further as anyone with half a brain can finish my post off.
Lake Bells tits 1
Hard to tell tbh, its either a really shitty shot or a very hard straight-wrist pass. If its the latter its not your typical "into the box" pass - so kudos for pulling it off..

David Kelly 1217
I think I've made it clear I don't rate him and I think he missed some very scorable chances, but credit where credits due, his movement for the first goal was first rate providing Colo with a good option before finding Ba with a decent ball. More of that is what we need as it will give the midfielders options (that they are more than capable of finding) and allow us to play from the back. toonotl 2941
Best is decent and lets be honest, at the moment he is a far better option than anyone other than Ba as an out and out striker.
Happy Face 29
Lad I go with had 3-1. As soon as ba went off I told him the bet was won, and every time best hit another shot into row z I said "and thats why". It got quite repetitive. StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Seems as though he sticks the ball in the back of the net when its only split second thinking, but when he has a few seconds to gather his composure he messes up which happened a couple of times on Saturday
KeithJ 0
I like Best as I think him and Ba looked superb when they were linking up together. He spooned a lot of chances against Blckburn however it happens to the best of strikers in matches. He has scored 3 goals this season and got off to a good start. As I have said before, he will always get a chance a game as sometimes he creates them for himself with some neat movement. Apart from that, I barely see him in the match! jaythesouthernmag 0
Gets into good positions but lacks composure. Maybe Pards can work on his finishing in training, better than Shola imo

sweetleftpeg 0
He's like Sibierski for me. Proper grafter, honest, always looks interested, wants the ball, looking to get into good positions and gives 100%. However, his finishing is just not good enough and he'll only take us so far. Still, I like him, at least he's willing to put himself about and doesn't hide. Looks like Lionel Richie as well.

Gejon 2
Some harsh critics on here, he does miss chances but he has something like 9 goals in 12 premier league starts. I wouldn't consider that someone who is nailed on to fluff chance after chance. I still have my doubts and he needs to do it a lot longer before I am confident of his ability but it's stange seeing people question his shooting and play based on his Newcastle career so far. Lake Bells tits 1
if he works on his shots and finishing he could be a 16-17 goal a season striker given enough starts. There, I said it. He has gotten THAT much better.
