ww2-veterans_1295480c.jpg

From left to right: Sgt. James Pepton, Col. E. Buygum, Col. Paul Wyn

These three men pictured above are WW2 veterans, men who fought bravely to protect this country from the evils of fascism; they risked their lives to protect this liberal democracy we live in, a country that could not function if people evaded their taxes (something which these men have never been guilty of). Do you think these men risked their lives to save some sanctimonious pinball-prick tax dodger? I think not, and I am appalled that anyone would have, quite frankly, the gall to belittle the efforts of these proud men with such callous illegal behaviour. J69, you should be ashamed of yourself.

You gimp!

I've worked in the sols office of a tax collecting authority for many years (ok too many tbf) and I've had people from within that same department come up to me asking how they can evade tax on their imported cd's etc when internet shopping during their work hours. That's people who spend their working day 'protecting the revenue' by pursuing tax in it's various forms on behalf of the government. It baffles me they can't appreciate that what theyre asking me is antithetical to their entire professional existence.

I also happen to believe in good public services and for that you need trade and commerce to pay J69's wages. Renton's right like, it is theft at the end of the day and the victim is institutions like the NHS and that is basically my point. J69's attitude is either one of arrogance or ignorance, or I suspect, a heady mixture of the two as in all honesty I suspect he doesn't really gets how these things work.

Fuckers at Parcel Force can also charge you ad "admin fee" for sending it to the HMRC which further erodes saving.

I bought a KVM switch a couple of years ago from Taiwan and as others have said, at the end of day all the saving was wiped out.

Only really encountered that once but if memory serves the 'admin fee' is illegal. That is to say, there's no legal basis on which they can insist on it. Most people pay it though just to save hassle and to get the thing processed quickly.

i found a site called bundlebox it apparently imports to the uk from usa using a usa address

That site is principally for if you're buying from a US seller who doesnt ship abroad themselves. ie bundlebox will receive it in the US and forward it to you in the UK (for an additonal fee), making the purchase possible when it previously was not. I think you can safely assume that amazon ship to the UK.

How the fuck does your mind work?
