Happy Face 29
That b leacher report pumps out a lot of... stuff. don't mind when they pick up English writers. But when yanks write shit like that and "Toon has the best defense" it's shat.
David Kelly 1260
Whoever wrote that report hasnt seen him play. Whatever problems he's having off the field he's doing shite on it providing very little going forward and looking weaker all the time defensively. Toon Dog 0
Sorry to just on the post but I think its about time I started to post rather than just lurk on the site, I agree with what David Kelly said Simpson has been poor this season even Raylor playing out of position has been better than Simpson although Gutiérrez does more than his fare share of defending for him. I would drop Simpson and move Raylor back to right back , play Santon in the Left back position and if Santon is nervous about playing i'm sure Gutiérrez would help him out !!!! Guest CabayeAye
He's been a waste of a shirt number this season. I'd have him in the reserves and get Raylor at RB with Santon at LB. I'd even use Fergie as backup before Simpson. If we get a bid, we should just get shot of him. I know he was alright last season, but I don't think he's going to recover from this pump run of form, his attitude just seems to have nose dived. Ayatollah Hermione 14058
Aye, Santon's never a LB like. Looks far more comfortable on his right foot.

Dr Gloom 22175
i read somewhere over the weekend that we're in for that erik pieters lad again in january. presumably if another body goes out rather than to bolster the squad numbers.
KeithJ 0
I hope we get him, this would make our squad very competitive and more solid. If we get Maiga and then another CB then we will be a very solid unit.

He was definitely better than Simpson was even at left back. I do think he needs a bit of time to get himself physically used to the league like. David Kelly 1260
No he didn't looh quite right yet and I think I'd be sticking with Raylor tonight but I'd be seriously thinking about him playing ahead of Simpson. Pardews comments about Santon the chronicle today are interesting in that he's picked up the same issues as us and says Santons worked on them immediately which is good to see. Brock Manson 0
Thought Simpson played really well tonight, looked very assured. Whole defence were great - very soft penalty given away by a striker no less. Really well-worked result, beaming!

Agreed Defence was brilliant throughout tonight, really well organised, never phased by stokes bully tactics, colo is getting better and better as a player and a leader
Monroe Transfer 0
Top class performance. Just looked more up for it than he has done recently. Got caught high up the pitch a couple of times (but you could say that's someone else's fault for giving the ball away) and gave the ball away a bit early on but other than he did well. Howay 12496
Simpson was solid tonight, liked the towel trick. Also really liked the dive he took in our box to ease pressure ive noticed he's done this a fair bit to waste a bit of time / ease the pressure recently. Same with Krul and the rest starting the fight with Huth, initially it was beacuse they were angry at that horrible prick and his usual thuggery, but it seemed to go on for a nice long time to slow the game and waste some time when Stoke wanted to get on with it. Also good to see Krul stand up to the fucker toe to toe and then his team mates straight in to back him up.
Guest CabayeAye
Colo's the best at dealing with this shit though. If an opposition player gets a bit rough with one of the young lads, the next time he goes near Colo, he'll get snapped in two by our captain. 2bias 3
Sorry if this has been posted. I did look and can't see it. News today is that our club are looking to sell him come Jan. Apparently all this has come about because Danny feels the contract offer he had in the summer wasn't good enough and now the club wont budge. Sorta feel for him in a way as he is one of the lowest earners in the first team and playing every game...then again I wouldn't complain with his wages tbh. Has 18months to go on current deal but can't see him playing for a bigger club for us.

2bias 3
I can't see him getting a bigger club. I don't think he has done that well this season to be honest. Most frustrating player I've found to watch.
Guest CabayeAye
He'll go to someone like Stoke or Bolton and get double the wages. We should look at getting a top LB and play Santon at RB. In the short term, move Raylor to RB and play Santon at LB. He shouldn't really be in our long term plans anyway.
