A few people are tweeting that there is trouble on Cowley Road, Oxford, but after a brief walk up and down there it is all bullshit. Not entirely sure I believe the stories of more than one Oxford building being on fire, although I am 99% certain that at least one Tesco store was set alight. Will investigate tomorrow...

Tom. It's not about Black and White. It's about pikey fuckers being pikey fuckers. Despite what LeazesMag would have you believe it's not "people who shouldn't be here". Also, it's not 1400 officers, it's 1400 extra officers. They've pulled crews in from Essex and Kent. Also there's coppers working double shifts. Not saying the tactic has been the correct one, but let's at least get the facts right.

Actually there were a bunch of Turkish shop owners protecting their own and their neighbours' properties. Bloody immigrants, coming over here defending our communities...

You've completely missed my point.

Bristol now too apparently.

Bristol? Really? Never thought of Bristol as a hotspot of insurrection.

When I posted yesterday asking when this mindlessness was going to spread, Bristol was one of the places I was going to list as potential hot spots (no pun intended). Like most cities these days, the place is a nest of pikey cun

The fact, which I believe 100%, is that these youths up and down the country are just waiting for the first shop window to be put out. Good thing for us that 99.9% of these cretins don't have the balls to be the one who chucks the first brick. They see smashing windows, looting and setting fire as a bit of fun. They would love nothing more than for it to happen where they are. Arseholes.

St Paul's in Bristol was a scene of anti-thatcher rioting at the same time as the Briston riots iirc

Probably, sorry mate. Fucking knackered. Hellish few nights. Bricks thrown at the van by these little shits. I think it made it worse that the van has no markings on it. Just a plain grey van. So they weren't targeting police, they were just attacking anything on the streets.

Talking to a couple of coppers in Enfield who said they just finished assisting Paramedics while they were attending to a guy who tries to stop a group and got his head caved in for his troubles. Plod dint think this guy would make it.

Expecting it to kick off tonight/tomorrow as well. Glad I'm not on again. Mind you, wouldn't be surprised if the police were a little less restrained tonight. Three nights of softly-softly has even the most stoically left-wing calling for a more aggressive policing strategy.

The coppers need to be taking back the streets tonight. No good just letting this go on again for a 4th night. And if the Met can't do it, bring the army in. Or bring the Italian police in to crack some fucking skulls.

Just got a text off my mam: my stepdad was staying in a hotel next to the Sony distribution centre that was looted/set on fire. They had to evacuate the hotel from 11:30 to 3:30 in case these tramps set it on fire.

I see Boris Johnson, Mayor of a city in flames, has finally decided to cut short his family holiday and come home this morning. What a ringpiece.

The BBC are reporting bother in Leeds, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham and Bristol as well. Bladdy eww.

I knew it wouldn't take the scousers long to cotton on to it, they'll be loving this.

If Newcastle goes up, I'd be ashamed and embarrassed hopefully wor younguns have more sense in 2011, we all remember what happened in 1991.

Wonder if this will make them rethink the ridiculous cuts in London. 32,000 police and they're finishing 2,000 in the next 6 months cos of these cut backs. Just think the cost of the Olympics (which many don't even want) would've paid for 100,000 OB in London for the next 10 years.
