My lass is in Manchester and they've been told that it's all over twitter that it's kicking off there tonight. Meeting at tpiccadilly apparently. The place that's running the course she's on have been told to be ready to evacuate the building.

New brothel creepers coming up for manc-mag!

This reminds me of the 90's when we used to get sent home from the Metro Centre because of IRA bomb threats after warrington.

Im pretty sure half of them were staff wanting an early finish and cashing in on the hysteria.

Start your own business. Work a market stall. Don't start destroying communites, cunt.

Hardly boom time in retail though is it?

Do some gardening work. There's plenty of opportunities to work, especially in London. It might be tough at the moment, but there are ways to address such matters without thuggery.

Boris Johnson would be proud.

I've done it. Shitloads of demand for simple gardening work and menial jobs. The problem with you is you go too far the other way with regard to these people. It's the same with your attitude toward Al Quaeda. 9/11 must be a response to some grievance we've caused them. The rioting must be a response to genuine grievances and so on. You look to explain their behaviour away rather than have them face up to the fact that they're behaving in a completely unacceptable manner. There's been a global financial crisis. The economy's in trouble. Not everyone can have a job on a plate. Do you think these people are willing students and just cannot find a job despite all efforts on their part? Show some fucking initiative. If you really want it, there's work to be had. These people don't want it. They just want money and attention without any labour to earn it.

Spot on

I've told her to either stop whining and just get the early train home, or hang around and snag me an ipad.

She hasn't responded to that text.

Poverty is relative though.

You've heard how articulate some of these rioters are on the media I assume? Even if there were more job vacancies than unemployment, which isn't true, what employer would want to touch these kids? They're not fit for shovelling shit. Your personal anecdotes of how hard-working you are are irrelevant in all this.

Fair play to the Millwall fans and their firm guarding shops in Deptford and Bermondsey

Heard some Turkish and Asian communities had been taking matters into their own hands too. Good for them.

Completely agree. I know several students in London who have failed to find any work whatsoever this summer despite their best efforts and they're from so called well educated backgrounds.

In any case, being unemployed doesn't mean you have to go rioting/looting. It's far more to do with upbringing/cultural issues than employment.

Look out for me on the news, chucking a dustbin at Schuh and holding up the placard "I am not Paul Wyn"

I'm not hard-working, I'm pretty lazy. If an employer won't touch you, show initiative. Open a market stall. People at the market aren't expecting a Shakespearian sonnet, so 'YEH BLUD BUY DIS PHONE INIT AN TING FAM' will do there. Ask around, do some gardening work. It's not hard. Plenty of work to be had there within their own communities. They don't want it. They would rather smash the place up and steal the latest IPhone.

THERE'S NO EXCUSE. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR THESE CUNTS.

They're a minority of absolute cunts who have managed to cause an awful lot of trouble and a great deal of distress to people within their own communties and elsewhere.
