I joined this foruim at the personal invitation of Peter Whitfield. I am sure he did not mention it was frequented by liars like Manc Mag, who has not called me you'll not be surprised to know, dull fools like McFaul or intense weirdos like Tom, who hjas hacked my account and rewritten my signature.

What a shame.

Crying out wrongun in 50 foot letters here like.

Are you Ian Cusack? If so pm me your mobile and I'll give you a bell, I've heard a lot about you.

There was an Ian Cusack who wrote some articles in True Faith some years back (maybe still does). The Rock and Dole years weren't a bad read tbh, though one incorrect line from The Jam's That's Entertainment sticks in my mind.

Thats him, sadly missed over on skunkers apparently. Meant to be great craic but would occasionally take things to far.

To be fair, I like the sounds of the bloke.

I would have thought most people would have learned from the KK protests, that protests of that nature are futile and do little for anyone.

I went to the one before the Hull game and apart from the fact the turnout was shit given the circumstances, the protests were "infiltrated" by Chavas swigging White lightning.

There are far too many egos that get involved and genuine good intentions take a back seat. See NUSC.

You also have to ask yourself what are you hoping to achieve? That Ashley will sell up? Been there, tried that.

The unfortunate truth is that he will be here until he decides otherwise.

Don't buy pies etc if it makes you feel better but even at the Hull game, the queues at the bars were just the same.

Rather than once again try futile protests, attentions of well meaning people should set about laying the foundation stones of the one proper supporters club that NUFC has been so badly lacking.

If JB can get 100,000 followers in a few weeks and the great and good of genuine supporters can't get this off the ground once and for all. We want shooting.

Build it and they will come / tweet

It's much more important than any current bed sheet waving at the current tenant of SJP.

The Rock and Dole years were a great read but I remember getting a bit of a patronising letter from him about something I picked a bone with him for in an old fanzine called Talk of the Toon. Was nothing to get too excited about but he was proud of his Republic of Ireland roots even though he wasn't Irish and claimed to prefer Dundee Utd over Celtic if my memory serves me. Is Gene Clark one and the same?

Aye not on sentence to disagree with there. The Hull game as I wrote the other day was pathetic. Fucking it should've been Darlo style mayhem instead we ended up with muted YFCGOOC chants, very disappointing. See in the 80's I remember a game against Millwall where one kid ran on the pitch with a banner and they couldn't get him for about 3 or 4 minutes he put his banner down in front of the dugouts so the board could see "KILL MCKEAG". Was on all the national news channels, and made waves. We don't have enough radgies at Newcastle these days, we had a proper voice in them days.

The weathers been pretty shite, but I've had a canny summer, haven't missed the football nee where near as much as I thought I would, and to be honest 4 or 5 weeks ago when we fund oot we had Arsenal first game I was totally buzzing. This has been replaced by total apathy not even looking forward to it now, the board are fucking squeezing the life out of my passion, you get paranoid about it thinking they've had conversations where they NEVER plan to challenge the top 6 as long as we're floating about and making money ;):D:(:dances: there's nee way out neither  and we have to sit there and take it. Darrel Birkett made a good analogy on twitter, there's a few of us didn't take the pill and we've seen what's been going on the whole time, while others were happy in a blissful delusion. Cunts.

He wouldn’t have been issued with a banning order back then. Funny how measures to combat hooliganism have become a tool for oppressing legitimate and harmless protest.
